Overview
The Raymarine T16012 is an autopilot backbone cable kit for connecting Raymarine X-10, X-30, X-CAN, and X-SOL corepacks to the ST70 Autopilot Control Head. It uses SeaTalkng components and includes a 5 m backbone cable, two STNG T-piece connectors, and two backbone terminators, giving the installer the main pieces needed to build the required autopilot backbone connection.
This kit is meant for Raymarine ST70 autopilot installations where the control head and corepack need the correct backbone link rather than a generic cable. It is useful during a new installation, a refit, or a repair where the original SeaTalkng backbone parts are missing, damaged, or incomplete.
Key features
- Connects Raymarine X-10, X-30, X-CAN, and X-SOL autopilot corepacks to the ST70 Autopilot Control Head.
- Includes a 5 m SeaTalkng backbone cable for routing between autopilot components.
- Two STNG T-piece connectors help create the required connection points in the autopilot backbone layout.
- Two backbone terminators allow the SeaTalkng backbone to be terminated at both ends of the run.
- Fits ST70-era Raymarine autopilot network installations where matching SeaTalkng backbone parts are required.
Compatibility and fit
This kit is specific to the listed Raymarine autopilot corepacks and the ST70 Autopilot Control Head. Before ordering, check the labels on the corepack and control head so the cable kit matches the electronics already on board.
It should not be treated as a universal network cable kit for every Raymarine display, pilot controller, or NMEA installation. Its main purpose is the backbone connection between the supported autopilot corepacks and the ST70 control head.
Installation and setup
Plan the cable route before pulling the 5 m backbone cable through the boat. A clean route behind the helm, inside an electronics locker, or through a protected cable chase helps keep the connectors accessible and reduces stress on the cable during service work.
The T-piece connectors are used where the installation needs branch connection points, while the terminators belong at the ends of the backbone. Keep the connectors away from chafe points, sharp bends, and areas where standing water can collect.
