Overview
The Garmin 010-02113-00 is a 12-inch ECHOMAP Ultra 122sv chartplotter and sonar display that ships without a transducer, so you can match it to the scanning or LiveScope setup you want.
You get a 1280 x 800 WXGA keyed-assist touchscreen, a preloaded worldwide basemap, and built-in sonar output rated at 600 W (RMS). With a compatible 12-pin transducer, it supports CHIRP traditional sonar plus CHIRP ClearVü and CHIRP SideVü.
For helm planning, the 12-inch housing measures 13.4 x 9.0 x 3.9 in (34.1 x 22.9 x 9.8 cm) and is rated IPX7. Power is 9 to 18 Vdc on an 8 A fused circuit.
Key features
- 12.1 in diagonal display area (12-inch class) with 1280 x 800 resolution and keyed-assist touchscreen control
- Preloaded worldwide basemap and two microSD card slots (32 GB max per card) for charts, updates, and user data
- Sonar support for CHIRP traditional, CHIRP ClearVü, and CHIRP SideVü with a compatible 12-pin transducer (not included)
- Dedicated LVS transducer port for Panoptix LiveScope LVS12 (transducer not included)
- NMEA 2000 compatible plus an internal NMEA 0183 port via the power/data harness for integrating network data and legacy instruments
- Two Garmin Marine Network ports for sharing sonar, LiveScope sonar, charts, and user data with compatible Garmin equipment
- Waypoint and track capacity: 5,000 waypoints, 50,000-point track log (50 saved tracks), and 100 routes
- Runs on 9 to 18 Vdc with an 8 A fuse; typical current draw is about 3 A at 12 Vdc
- IPX7 water rating and polycarbonate housing for an exposed helm environment
Installation and setup
The unit can be bail mounted or flush mounted. Flush mounting uses a cutout template and a rear gasket, which helps keep the dash tidy and reduces spray getting behind the panel.
Plan cable routing so the locking rings can be tightened at the cradle and the wiring stays serviceable later. Leave about 6 in (150 mm) of clearance behind the chartplotter, and keep it at least 25.6 in (65 cm) from a magnetic compass. Unused connectors should stay capped to keep the contacts from corroding in a saltwater cockpit.
Electrical and system integration
Power is supplied through the POWER connector and should be switched with the boat ignition or another manual switch. This model is not powered through the NMEA 2000 network, even when it is connected for data sharing.
The same harness carries the internal NMEA 0183 connections for older instruments. Use the NMEA 2000 port to join the backbone, and use the NETWORK ports when you want Garmin Marine Network sharing for sonar, charts, and user data across compatible displays.
Sonar and transducer pairing
This version ships without a transducer. It has a 12-pin transducer port for traditional and scanning sonar, and a separate LVS port intended for Panoptix LiveScope LVS12. That split setup keeps wiring cleaner when you run a scanning transducer and LiveScope on the same boat.
Charting and on-the-water workflow
The built-in worldwide basemap is a solid starting point for basic navigation, and the two microSD slots make it easy to add chart cards or load user data. Quickdraw Contours is built in for creating custom maps with 1-foot contours while you run.
Wireless connectivity supports pairing with the ActiveCaptain app for transferring data and handling updates when you are in range.
Who this is a good match for
This chartplotter makes sense for boats that have room for a 12-inch display at the helm and want one screen to handle navigation plus CHIRP and scanning sonar. It also fits cleanly into a plan where LiveScope will be added later, since the dedicated LVS port keeps that part of the install straightforward.
