Overview

The Garmin 010-02880-01LSP is a 10 inch ECHOMAP Ultra 2 106sv chartplotter and fishfinder bundle that combines built-in Garmin Navionics+ U.S. Inland and Coastal mapping with GT56UHD-TM scanning sonar and LiveScope Plus live-scanning sonar. The display is IPX7-rated and runs on 9 to 18 Vdc.

Installation and setup

The display can be bail mounted on a bracket or flush mounted in a panel. Plan for behind-the-dash clearance: 11.6 x 7.7 x 3.9 in (29.5 x 19.5 x 9.8 cm), and about 4.0 lb (1.8 kg). Power input is 9 to 18 Vdc, so most boats wire it to a 12 V electronics bus; a 24 V system needs a converter that keeps output within 18 V.

The GT56UHD-TM is a transom-mount transducer, so placement matters if you want clean readings at speed. The LiveScope Plus LVS34 is typically mounted on a trolling motor shaft, barrel, or a pole so you can aim the live view where you are working structure, and the GLS 10 module should be mounted in a dry location with airflow and easy access for the network and power connections.

Networking and system integration

This unit ties into boat data through its NMEA 2000 port and NMEA 0183 support, which helps bring sensor and navigation data onto the screen when your boat is networked. The two Garmin Marine Network ports handle high-bandwidth sonar connections, including the included GLS 10 module for LiveScope Plus.

Wireless sharing with another compatible ECHOMAP Ultra 2 or ECHOMAP UHD2 uses a direct unit-to-unit connection for items like waypoints and routes. LiveScope sonar data is not shared wirelessly between units.
