Overview
The TACO Marine F16-2630POL-1 is a polished Type 316 stainless steel clamp-on adjustable rod holder for adding secure rod storage to 1-11/16" and 1-15/16" O.D. pipe on a T-top, leaning post, or poling platform leg.
It works on vertical or horizontal pipe and lets the rod angle rotate and lock in 18-degree increments, so the holder can be set for trolling, drifting, storage, or quick access while fishing. The rod holder has a 1-5/8" inside diameter and includes a form-fitted white PVC liner to help cushion the rod and reduce contact against the stainless steel tube.
The clamp-on layout is a practical fit for boats where drilling into a hardtop frame or rail is not preferred. It gives anglers a clean way to add another rod position on existing pipework while keeping the installation removable and adjustable.
Key features
- Fits 1-11/16" and 1-15/16" O.D. pipe, making it suitable for common T-top, leaning post, and poling platform leg installations.
- Clamp-on mounting supports installation on vertical or horizontal pipe without cutting into the boat structure.
- Rotates and locks every 18 degrees so the fishing angle can be set to match the rod position and use on board.
- Polished Type 316 stainless steel construction stands up well to saltwater exposure, spray, and regular washdowns.
- 1-5/8" rod holder inside diameter works with many conventional fishing rod handles.
- Form-fitted white PVC liner helps protect the rod handle and gives the holder a cleaner finished interior.
Installation and fit
Before installation, measure the outside diameter of the pipe where the holder will be mounted. This model is made for 1-11/16" and 1-15/16" O.D. pipe, so it should be matched to the actual tube size rather than the general rail or frame description.
The clamp can be positioned on a vertical leg or a horizontal tube, which gives flexibility on center consoles, fishing boats, and other vessels with exposed pipework. Once mounted, the locking angle can be set to keep the rod accessible without interfering with movement around the helm, cockpit, or aft deck.
Use on board
This rod holder suits anglers who need an added rod position without replacing existing hardware or committing to a permanent drilled mount. It is useful for keeping a spare setup ready, spreading rods while fishing, or adding storage to a T-top or leaning post where factory rod holders are limited.
Because the holder is stainless steel with a polished finish, it pairs naturally with other polished rail hardware and T-top tubing. The PVC liner is especially useful when rods are moved in and out often during a fishing day.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the holder with fresh water after saltwater use, especially around the clamp, liner, and locking area. A mild boat soap and soft cloth help preserve the polished finish without scratching the stainless steel surface.
Check the clamp hardware periodically, particularly after trailering, rough runs, or heavy rod loads. Keeping the mounting point clean and properly tightened helps the holder stay secure during regular use.
