Overview
The Garmin 010-02731-00 is a 5 inch touchscreen autopilot control display that puts Reactor autopilot control right at the helm through NMEA 2000 and the Garmin Marine Network. The screen is WVGA (800 x 480) and runs on 9 to 32 VDC, so it fits typical 12V and 24V boats.
It is rated IPX7 for use at the console in wet conditions and it supports both wired and wireless remote control options when used with compatible Garmin gear. If you are building around multiple Garmin displays, networking lets you share settings and keep the autopilot interface consistent from station to station.
Key features
- 5 inch WVGA touchscreen (800 x 480) with an anti-glare display for helm visibility in sun and spray
- Power input: 9 to 32 VDC for 12V and 24V systems
- IPX7 water rating for real-world helm exposure and washdown conditions
- NMEA 2000 and Garmin Marine Network connectivity for autopilot control and system integration
- Built-in ANT+ and Wi-Fi for supported wireless functions and compatible remote control options
- Flat or flush mounting to match different helm panels and dash layouts
- Works with Garmin GHP Reactor autopilots and supports integration with compatible Garmin remotes and select marine wearables
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location like you would for a chartplotter interface: somewhere you can reach easily while steering, and where glare and spray are manageable. The unit supports flat mounting or a clean flush mount, and the overall footprint is about 5.5 x 4.1 x 2.0 inches (140 x 105 x 51 mm), so check behind-panel depth and cable clearance before you cut.
On the wiring side, it ties into your NMEA 2000 backbone with a drop and connects to the Garmin Marine Network when you want full network sharing with other compatible Garmin devices. Power is 9 to 32 VDC; route it like other helm electronics and protect the circuit appropriately for your boat.
Compatibility and system integration
This display is intended as the primary touch controller for a compatible Garmin Reactor autopilot. It also fits well in a larger Garmin network where autopilot settings and information are shared across compatible helm displays.
Wireless connectivity can be used for supported functions such as updates, while full day-to-day integration is handled through the boat network connections. That matters most on boats with more than one station, or when you want a consistent autopilot experience from the main helm and a secondary control point.
Use on board
Boats that spend long days under autopilot, including cruisers doing coastal hops and offshore runs, benefit most from having a dedicated autopilot control display that is always in reach. It is also a solid fit for dual-station setups where you want the same autopilot controls at the lower helm and the flybridge.
