Overview
The Raymarine T70590 is a bundled navigation and fishfinding system that pairs an Axiom+ 12 RV multifunction display with a Quantum Q24C solid-state radar dome. It brings chartplotting, built-in RealVision 3D sonar capability, GPS/GNSS positioning, and CHIRP radar visibility into one helm package for fishing boats, cruising boats, and small to mid-size power or sail installations.
The Axiom+ 12 RV uses a 12-inch IPS touchscreen with WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution, 1800 nit illumination, and an IPX6/IPX7 water rating. It runs on a 12 V DC system with an 8 V DC to 16 V DC operating range, and it includes RayNet Ethernet, NMEA 2000 via DeviceNet on the power cable, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a microSDXC card slot.
The Quantum Q24C radar is an 18-inch radome with CHIRP pulse compression, Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet connectivity, a maximum 24 nautical mile range scale, and 12 V DC or 24 V DC power support. A sonar transducer is not included, so the display should be matched with the correct compatible transducer for the hull type and the sonar views needed on board.
Key features
- 12-inch Axiom+ RV display with built-in RealVision 3D and 600 W digital sonar support for CHIRP, DownVision, SideVision, RealVision 3D, and 50/200 kHz sonar when paired with compatible transducers.
- Quantum Q24C 18-inch solid-state radar with CHIRP pulse compression for short-range harbor work and longer range weather or target awareness up to 24 nautical miles.
- Radar connection can be made by Wi-Fi or RayNet Ethernet, which helps when cable routing through hardtops, arches, or tight helm spaces is limited.
- Display supports Raymarine LightHouse Charts, Navionics, and C-MAP charting, giving the helm flexibility for coastal cruising, fishing, and route planning.
- RayNet Ethernet and NMEA 2000 integration support expansion with compatible displays, radar, IP cameras, engine data, instruments, autopilots, and marine audio systems.
- Axiom+ 12 RV screen has HydroTough oleophobic coating to help shed water, oil, and fingerprints during wet hands use at the helm.
- Built-in 10 Hz GPS/GNSS receiver tracks GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou satellites for fast position updates while navigating or marking fishing spots.
- Quantum radar draws 17 W in transmit mode and 7 W in standby, which matters on boats where battery capacity and alternator load are part of the electronics plan.
- Radar radome is IPX6 rated and measures 541 mm in diameter by 209.5 mm high, useful when checking clearance on a hardtop, radar arch, or mast mount.
Installation and setup
The Axiom+ display can be installed at the helm using trunnion or panel mounting hardware, depending on the layout of the console. For surface or flush mounting, confirm the available cutout area and rear clearance before installation, especially where cable bends, access panels, or steering components sit behind the dash.
The radar dome should be mounted with a clear view around the vessel and above normal head height. Its Wi-Fi link can reduce data cable routing, while the wired RayNet option remains useful where a physical network connection is preferred for a larger electronics system.
Electrical and system integration
The display is for 12 V DC installations and uses a 7 A fuse rating. The Quantum radar accepts either 12 V DC or 24 V DC nominal supply with a 10.8 V DC to 31.2 V DC operating range, so check both circuits separately when planning breakers, fuses, wire runs, and voltage drop.
For networked boats, this bundle fits well at a main helm where radar, charting, sonar, and vessel data need to be viewed from one screen. It is also a practical match for anglers who want side, down, and 3D sonar views from a compatible transducer while keeping radar available for fog, night running, busy inlets, and offshore returns.
Compatibility and fit
The Axiom+ 12 RV works with Raymarine RealVision transducer families and compatible Airmar options when the correct adapter is used. The transducer choice should match the hull material, mounting style, fishing depth, and whether transom, through-hull, or in-hull installation is appropriate.
The Quantum Q24C is compatible with Axiom+ displays and other supported Raymarine multifunction displays. For a clean install, confirm the selected cable path, radar mounting location, network layout, and any required RayNet or SeaTalkng accessories before cutting into the helm or hardtop.
