Overview
The Lopolight 300-114G2-PRO-I is a 3 NM 360° red navigation light with a built-in de-icing function for vessels over 50 m operating in freezing spray and icing conditions. It runs on 20-32 VDC and draws about 2.9 W.
The sealed IP68 assembly mounts horizontally on the 400-037 aluminum base with the cable exiting to the side. A plug connector lets you remove the light for service without pulling the full wiring run.
The compact body measures Ø92.5 mm x 89.5 mm and weighs 1.14 kg, which helps when you are fitting it on crowded masts or signal platforms where space and access are limited.
Key features
- 360° red light with 3 NM visibility and intensity greater than 15 cd
- Built-in de-icing function for operation down to -60°C, with a rated upper limit of 55°C
- 20-32 VDC input for 24 VDC systems; current consumption listed as 120 mA at 24 VDC
- IP68 rating for exposed locations that see spray and washdowns
- Horizontal mount on 400-037 aluminum base with side cable direction
- Includes cable glands for 4.5-10 mm, 7-13 mm, and 9-17 mm cable diameters
- Housing made from black hard coat anodized aluminum (50 µm) with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel screws
- Approvals include COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, and USCG, with additional listings that include ABS, M.E.D., DNV, and LR
Installation and setup
Mount the base on a rigid, flat surface with a clear 360° line of sight, and keep the light high enough that antennas, radar arrays, and rigging do not block the arc. The cable exits to the side, which can simplify routing inside a mast or along a rail where a bottom exit would force a tight bend.
Seal the cable entry with the included gland that matches your cable diameter. Minimum feed wire gauge is 1.5 mm² (AWG 18). Power it from a protected DC circuit within the 20-32 VDC range, and support the cable close to the light so vibration does not work the entry loose over time.
Use cases on board
This light suits commercial ships and larger yachts over 50 m that need a certified 3 NM all-round red light and want it to stay visible when ice starts building. It is commonly installed on masts, signal light platforms, or other exposed structures where icing and heavy weather are part of normal operations.
