Overview
The Lopolight 201-007 Series is a horizontal-mount masthead light that combines a 2 NM tri-color navigation light with a 360° anchor light, with variants that add either a Windex light or a strobe function.
It runs on 10-32 VDC for 12 V and 24 V systems and carries an IP68 rating for exposed masthead mounting. The light body is Ø92.5 mm, with overall height varying by configuration (roughly 68 to 86 mm).
This series is sized for vessels in the 12-20 m range (about 39-66 ft) where it helps reduce the number of separate fixtures at the top of the mast.
Key features
- 2 NM visibility with tri-color navigation sectors and a separate 360° anchor light circuit.
- 10-32 VDC input for common 12 V and 24 V onboard power systems.
- IP68 rating for wet environments, spray, and routine washdowns.
- Horizontal mount format; Ø92.5 mm body with overall height that depends on the configuration (about 68-86 mm).
- Silver or black anodized aluminum housing with PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel fasteners.
- Approvals listed for COLREG72 and EN14744, with IEC 60945 and USCG (UL1104) compliance referenced for the range.
- Connection options include 0.75 m pre-cabled versions, 30 m long-cable versions for mast pulls, and a connector-base option with a 4-14 mm cable gland.
Variants
201-007 Series lights are offered in multiple configurations so you can match the function set at the masthead and the way you want to route wiring down the spar.
Across the range, the units mount horizontally, run on 10-32 VDC, and are rated for 2 NM visibility. The main differences are whether the third function is a Windex light or a strobe circuit, and whether the light is supplied with a short lead, a long lead, or a connector base for your own cable.
- 201-007G2SW: Style Tri-Color Navigation/Anchor/Windex Light; Housing Silver Housing; Cable 0.75M Cable. This adds an illuminated Windex mount at the masthead for night trims without adding a separate light.
- 201-007G2S: Style Tri-Color Navigation/Anchor/Strobe Light; Housing Silver Housing; Cable 0.75M Cable. The extra circuit is a strobe function intended for special signaling rather than routine navigation light use.
- 201-007S-B TB: Style Tri-Color Navigation/Anchor/Strobe Light; Housing Black Housing; Cable 4-14mm. This uses a connector-style base and cable gland so you can terminate your own mast cable while keeping the connection protected at the masthead.
- 201-007G2S-30M: Style Tri-Color Navigation/Anchor/Strobe Light; Housing Silver Housing; Cable 30M. A long lead suits full mast re-wires where you want one continuous run down to the switching panel.
- 201-007G2SW-30M: Style Tri-Color Navigation/Anchor/Windex Light; Housing Silver Housing; Cable 30M. This keeps the Windex light function while using a long cable for mast pulls and refits.
What’s included
- Navigation light assembly (with the cable or connection style specified by the selected variant)
- Installation guide
Installation and setup
Mount the light horizontally on the masthead so the lens has a clear view around the boat, without shadowing from antennas, wind instruments, or rigging. Plan the mounting location so the unit sits on the boat centerline and remains accessible for service.
For pre-cabled versions, route the lead down the mast with chafe protection and secure it so it cannot slap inside the spar. A minimum feed wire gauge of 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22) is noted for the series; longer cable runs may require heavier wire depending on your switch panel location and voltage drop targets.
Electrical and switching
These lights use separate circuits for the different functions, which allows you to switch between tri-color, anchor, and the Windex or strobe function as needed. Use appropriately fused, switched feeds for each function and a common return, and follow your vessel’s wiring practices for strain relief, drip loops, and sealed penetrations.
Use on board
This series is a good match for sailboats in the 39-66 ft range that want a single masthead fixture covering underway and at-anchor lighting, while keeping the masthead layout tidy. The 30 m cable variants are helpful when the mast is coming down and you want to replace the full run in one pass.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue from the housing and lens during routine washdowns and keep the lens free of grime that can block light output. During periodic rig checks, inspect mounting fasteners and cable condition at the mast exit points and any deck glands.
