Overview

The Attwood Marine 6375D6 is a bi-color combination sidelight for 12 VDC powerboats up to 39.4 feet (12 m). It gives 225° visibility from a single bow-mounted fixture, so it suits boats that use one compact combined red and green light instead of separate sidelights.

This light uses a chrome-plated die-cast Zamak housing with a Perma-Plate finish and comes with a 7.5-watt lamp plus 7-inch hard-wire leads. It mounts on a deck or gunwale with external fasteners, which makes it a straightforward replacement when your existing bow-light wiring is already in place.

Installation and fit

This is a surface-mount light, so it works best where the bow already has a flat mounting spot on the deck or gunwale. Installation uses two #8 fasteners, which are not included. Because the leads are short, the connection point should be close to the fixture or tied into an existing bow-light wire run.

For boaters replacing an older combo sidelight, the micro-mini format keeps the bow area neat without changing the basic wiring approach. The fully enclosed socket keeps the lamp seated inside the housing rather than exposed at the back of the light.
