The Vimar 8000 Series is a 5-module snap-fixing cover plate range for Vimar 5-module flush mounting boxes, with a 166 x 75.5 mm face and 6 mm depth. It fits mounting frame 08533 and can be installed horizontally or vertically, so it suits switch and socket groups where you need a clean front finish around a 5-module layout.

All three versions are halogen-free and rated IP00, so they belong at interior electrical points that stay protected from direct water exposure. The range includes thermoplastic resin and anodized aluminium finishes, all with a matt surface that keeps the appearance tidy around interior switch panels.

The finish and base material change between variants. The mounting format, overall dimensions, snap-fixing layout, IP00 rating, and fit with mounting frame 08533 stay the same across the listed versions.

• VM08639.A: ivory finish in thermoplastic resin. This version works well in interiors that use traditional white or ivory switchgear.
• VM08639.BR: bronze finish in anodized aluminium. The metal face gives the installation a darker look that sits well with warmer interior trim.
• VM08639: gold finish in anodized aluminium. This option keeps the same metal construction with a brighter finish at the wall.

Compatibility and fit

This plate is the outer cover, so it needs the matching Vimar 08533 mounting frame behind it and a 5-module flush mounting box in the bulkhead or wall. The 5-module layout also makes it a practical choice where several switching or outlet functions need to be grouped in one place.

On board, it makes the most sense at interior switch points, berth lighting controls, cabin outlets, or service panels where the electrical hardware sits flush and stays protected. Because the plate is IP00, exposed cockpit, flybridge, and weather deck locations call for a sealed product instead.
