Overview

The Victron Energy Lynx Distributor is a modular DC busbar with four fuse-protected circuit positions for building a cleaner high-current distribution point on board. It combines positive and negative busbars in one housing, adds fuse status indication on the front panel, and fits into Victron Lynx battery and DC distribution layouts.

It operates across 9-60 Vdc and supports 12V, 24V, and 48V systems, with a 1000Adc continuous current rating for the busbars. The unit accepts MEGA fuses on M8 fuse studs, and the fuses are purchased separately so each circuit can be matched to the correct cable size and load.

For marine installations, this is a good match for a dry electrical locker, battery compartment, or equipment space where inverter/chargers, solar chargers, DC loads, and battery feeds need organized protection and easier fault checking.

Variants

The Lynx Distributor is offered in two busbar configurations for matching the rest of the Lynx system layout.

The variant changes the busbar interconnection size used where Lynx modules bolt together. The fuse and cable connections remain M8 on both versions.

• LYN060102000: Busbar M8. This version uses M8 busbar interconnection joints for Lynx systems built around M8 module links.
• LYN060102010: Busbar M10. This version uses M10 busbar interconnection joints for Lynx systems built around M10 module links while keeping the fuse and cable connections at M8.

Installation and fit

The Lynx Distributor should be installed in a protected, dry location with enough access to remove the front cover, inspect the LEDs, route heavy DC cables cleanly, and service the fuses. Its IP22 rating is suitable for sheltered electrical spaces, not open cockpits, damp lockers, or areas exposed to direct spray.

Correct fuse selection and cable sizing matter because the unit is used in high-current battery and DC load circuits. The selected MEGA fuse for each position should match the circuit voltage, cable capacity, and expected current for that branch.

System integration

In a Victron Lynx system, the Distributor can sit alongside modules such as a Lynx Power In, Lynx Shunt VE.Can, or Lynx Smart BMS to create a continuous positive and negative busbar. When connected to a Lynx Smart BMS, up to four Lynx Distributors can report fuse status through the system.

The unit can also be used as a fused busbar without a Lynx Shunt VE.Can or Lynx Smart BMS, but the LED fuse detection circuit needs power through the RJ10 connection to operate. For boats that already use Victron monitoring, the Lynx Distributor gives the DC distribution area a tidier layout and makes blown-fuse checks more straightforward.
