Overview
The Attwood Marine Fold-Up Drink Holder - Dual Ring is a folding cup holder for boats, RVs, and other compact spaces where a permanent recessed holder is not practical. It uses two support rings so it can hold common onboard drinks, including coffee mugs with handles, 12-ounce cans, and drink insulators.
The holder measures 4-5/8 in. high x 4-9/16 in. wide x 4-3/4 in. deep when open, with a closed depth of 7/8 in. when folded away. That shallow closed profile helps keep it out of the way on cockpit bulkheads, helm panels, cabin walls, or galley areas where space is limited.
The small ring flips up for smaller drink containers, while the larger ring supports wider cups and insulated drink holders. When not in use, the rings fold down and the cover closes, leaving a tidy surface that is less likely to snag gear or clothing as people move around the boat.
Key features
- Dual-ring layout works with small drink containers, larger cups, coffee mugs with handles, 12-ounce cans, and drink insulators.
- Fold-up cover reduces the holder to a 7/8 in. closed depth when the space is not being used.
- Polycarbonate construction suits high-use cockpit, cabin, galley, and RV locations.
- Four mounting holes accept #10 screws for a secure installation on a suitable vertical surface.
- Open size of 4-5/8 in. H x 4-9/16 in. W x 4-3/4 in. D helps with layout planning before drilling.
- Available in black or white to match darker helm areas, light fiberglass interiors, or cabin trim.
Variants
This fold-up drink holder is offered in two color configurations. Both versions use the same dual-ring folding format, polycarbonate construction, 7/8 in. closed depth, and four-hole mounting pattern for #10 screws.
The only confirmed difference between the variants is the color, so selection comes down to the mounting area and the surrounding finish on the boat or RV.
- 2445-7: Black. This finish blends well with darker dash panels, cockpit trim, helm stations, and utility areas where a low-contrast accessory is preferred.
- 2449-7: White. This finish pairs well with light fiberglass, white cabin panels, and brighter interior or cockpit layouts.
Installation and fit
This holder is made for quick surface mounting with four #10 screws. Before installation, check that the mounting surface has enough clearance for the 4-3/4 in. open depth and that the folded position will not interfere with companionway traffic, seat movement, locker doors, or nearby controls.
For boat use, common locations include the cockpit, helm, cabin side panels, galley area, and fishing stations. Mounting hardware and backing support should match the surface material, especially on thin fiberglass panels or locations exposed to vibration.
Use on board
The folding design is useful on boats where cup holders are needed only part of the time. It can stay closed while docking, loading gear, cleaning the cockpit, or moving around the cabin, then flip open when drinks need a secure place within reach.
This is a practical fit for small boats, cruisers, fishing boats, sailboats, and RVs where a simple surface-mounted holder is easier to add than cutting a recessed cup holder into the structure.
