Overview
The Lopolight 200-014G2-PRO is a 360-degree red navigation light with a 2 NM visibility rating in a black-finished aluminum housing. It runs on 10-32 VDC for 12V and 24V systems, with typical power draw around 2.1 W.
This is an all-round red light intended for installations where the light must be seen through 360 degrees. The body and base are rated IP68, and the light uses a plug connector for the electrical connection.
At Ø92.5 mm x 75 mm (Ø3.6 in x 2.9 in) and 1 kg (35.27 oz), it suits boats that need a certified signal light in a compact footprint, including workboats and larger vessels where compliance and visibility matter.
Key features
- All-round 360-degree red light with 2 NM visibility and intensity greater than 5.4 cd.
- 10-32 VDC input for 12V and 24V systems; current draw is about 150 mA at 12 VDC or 85 mA at 24 VDC (2.1 W typical).
- IP68-rated sealing for heavy spray, washdowns, and wet mounting locations.
- Housing is hard coat anodized aluminum with a black finish (50µ), paired with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless fasteners.
- Horizontal mounting on a POM base with a side cable exit to keep wiring routed cleanly along the mounting surface.
- Includes an HDPE base plate and cable glands sized for 4.5-10 mm and 7-13 mm cable diameters.
- Built-in de-icing function; when de-icing is active, draw increases to about 15 W at 24 VDC.
- Approved to COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, USCG, ABS, M.E.D., DNV, and LR.
Compatibility and fit
This light is specified for vessel categories under 12 m, 12-20 m, and 20-50 m. Confirm the required type and placement of an all-round red light for your vessel and operating area before mounting.
Plan for the Ø92.5 mm body diameter and the side cable exit so the connector and wiring can be supported and protected from chafe. The 1 kg weight is worth considering if mounting on a thin hardtop or a cantilevered bracket.
Installation and setup
Mount the light horizontally on a flat surface where it has an unobstructed view through 360 degrees. Use proper bedding and sealing practices around fasteners and the cable pass-through to preserve the IP68 rating.
Select the cable gland that matches your cable outside diameter, then secure the gland compression so the jacket is sealed without crushing the conductors. Support the wire run with clamps where possible to prevent vibration from working the connection loose over time.
Electrical and system integration
Connect to a 10-32 VDC lighting circuit with appropriate circuit protection for your wiring and switching. Normal load is low, but de-icing mode pulls more power, so the circuit should be sized with that higher draw in mind if de-icing will be used.
Use cases on board
This style of all-round red light is commonly used on commercial vessels and larger yachts where a dedicated red signal light is required. It also fits boats that want a compact, certified 360-degree red light on a wheelhouse roof, mast platform, or aft deck structure with full-around visibility.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt and grime off the lens and housing after rough weather or routine washdowns. During seasonal checks, inspect the base seal and cable gland compression so water cannot track into the wiring path.
