Overview
The Garmin 010-10314-00 is a carrying case for Garmin eTrex Series handheld GPS units that keeps the screen visible through a clear vinyl lens while adding day-to-day protection. It uses a black nylon shell with button access holes so you can work the keys without pulling the GPS out of the case.
A hook-and-loop flap closure holds the unit in place when you are moving around the boat, and the built-in belt clip keeps it easy to grab from a pocket, waistband, or PFD. There is also a lanyard connection point when you prefer to keep the GPS tethered instead of clipped.

- Lanyard connection point for tethering to your wrist, neck, or PFD
Compatibility and fit
This case is intended for Garmin eTrex Series handhelds. Fit depends on the body shape and button layout, so it is worth comparing your specific eTrex to the case openings and lens area before ordering, especially if you are using a newer or different-generation eTrex.
Use on board
Handheld GPS units often end up riding in a cockpit pocket, clipped to foul-weather gear, or passed between crew while running a channel or setting a waypoint. This case helps reduce scuffs and scratches from deck hardware and makes the GPS easier to keep accessible when hands are wet or you are moving around in chop.
It is a good match for boaters who use an eTrex as a backup navigator, for marking fishing spots from a small boat, or for shore excursions where the handheld is in and out of pockets all day.
Installation and handling
Slide the eTrex into the case, close the flap, and check that the display sits flat behind the lens. Confirm the button holes line up so you can operate common functions without fighting the case.
Maintenance and care
After exposure to salt spray, wipe the case down with fresh water on a damp cloth and let it air-dry before stowing. Clean the vinyl lens with a soft cloth to keep glare and fine scratches to a minimum.
