Overview
The Hella Marine 2 Speed 'Turbo' Fan is an adjustable cabin fan with a position-locking head, a front-mounted two-speed control, and a 150 mm guarded blade for directed airflow in tight onboard spaces.
Airflow is rated at 70 litres/sec on Speed 1 and 95 litres/sec on Speed 2, with 6.5 W power consumption. The housing is impact resistant plastic and the fan is pre-wired with 140 mm of cable.
For fit checks, the published dimensions are a 188 mm, b 95 mm, and c 195 mm. It suits sheltered interior locations like berths, saloons, galleys, and helm stations where you want the airflow aimed and kept in place while the boat moves.
Key features
- Two-speed switch sits in front of the guard for quick adjustments while underway
- 150 mm blade with guard for safer use around hands and loose cabin gear
- Pivots in all directions and locks in position to keep airflow aimed
- Mounting options support side, upright, or pendant installs
- Airflow rated at 70 and 95 litres/sec with 6.5 W consumption for a low electrical load
- Impact resistant plastic housing for everyday knocks in cabins and enclosed helms
Variants
This fan is offered in multiple configurations to match different DC system voltages and interior finishes.
Voltage and housing color vary across the range, while the two-speed control, blade size, airflow ratings, and mounting styles remain consistent.
- 003361002: 12V, black housing. Built for boats wired on 12V DC where a dark finish blends with trim and electronics.
- 003361012: 24V, black housing. Suits 24V DC installations on larger vessels that standardize on 24V house or bridge circuits.
- 003361022: 12V, white housing. Fits 12V DC systems where a light-colored fan matches headliners and bulkheads.
Installation and setup
Mount the base in the orientation that works for your space, then use the pivoting head to aim airflow where it matters. Allow clearance so the fan can swing without hitting curtains, doors, or nearby panels, and keep the front switch easy to reach.
The leads are 140 mm, so most installs will need an extension run to reach a distribution point. Use marine-grade tinned wire, secure the cable to avoid chafe, and protect the circuit with appropriate overcurrent protection for your boat.
Compatibility and fit
Match the fan voltage to your system (12V or 24V) and confirm clearance for the 150 mm blade and the overall dimensions listed in Overview. It is a good match for cruisers and fishing boats that want targeted airflow without adding ducting or fixed vents.
Maintenance and care
Dust and cabin lint can build up on the guard and blades, so a quick wipe keeps airflow up and noise down. Install it in a sheltered location and avoid direct washdowns; if salt mist reaches the fan, wipe it down with fresh water and let it dry before running at higher speed.
