Overview
The Raymarine Axiom 7 DV is a 7-inch multifunction chartplotter with built-in CHIRP DownVision sonar, a touchscreen interface, and transducer bundle options for boaters who want navigation and fishfinding from one compact helm display. It runs on a 12 V dc system with an 8 V dc to 16 V dc operating range, uses a 9-pin DownVision transducer connection, and draws 10 W in typical use.
The display uses Raymarine LightHouse software with a quad-core processor, built-in GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RayNet Ethernet, a MicroSDXC card slot, and a DeviceNet-style NMEA 2000 connection built into the supplied power cable. The 7-inch WVGA screen has 800 x 480 resolution, 1200 nit illumination, and a waterproof rating of IPx6 and IPx7 for exposed helm and cockpit installations.
This model fits small to midsize fishing boats, cruisers, and tenders where space is limited but the owner still wants chartplotting, sonar, and future expansion to compatible Raymarine sensors and networked equipment.
Key features
- 7-inch all-glass touchscreen display with 800 x 480 WVGA resolution and 1200 nit illumination for daylight use at the helm.
- Built-in CHIRP DownVision sonar with CHIRP conical sonar and DownVision channels when paired with the correct transducer.
- Depth range from 0.6 m to 183 m, or 2 ft to 600 ft, depending on water conditions and installation.
- Integrated GPS receiver with support for GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou, plus SBAS options including WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS, GAGAN, and QZSS.
- Network-ready connections include RayNet Ethernet, NMEA 2000 through the supplied power cable, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
- IPx6 and IPx7 waterproof rating for marine helm areas exposed to spray, rain, and washdowns.
- Supports surface, flush, or trunnion mounting, giving installers flexibility at the dash, console, or bracket-mounted helm position.
- 12 V dc operation with an 8 V dc to 16 V dc operating range, 7 A fuse rating, and LEN 1 for NMEA 2000 planning.
Variants
The product is offered in two configurations. Both are Axiom 7 DV 7-inch display bundles, and the transducer type is the key difference between them.
The display, power connection, mounting approach, waterproof rating, networking features, and core Axiom DV functions remain consistent across the two versions. The selected transducer determines the sonar style available from the package as supplied.
- E70364-01: Transducer type CPT-S. This configuration includes a CPT-S transom mount CHIRP transducer for depth reading and CHIRP fish targeting from a transom installation.
- E70364-02: Transducer type CPT-100DVS. This configuration includes the CPT-100DVS transducer, pairing the display with DownVision sonar imaging for bottom structure, fish, and detail below the boat.
Installation and setup
The Axiom 7 DV can be installed at a console, dash, or helm pod using the supplied trunnion hardware or the panel gasket and studs for a surface or flush-style installation. The display has a buttonless front with swipe-to-power control, so the mounting location should leave enough room for touch operation and cable clearance behind the unit.
The supplied power and NMEA 2000 cable includes a 1.5 m power lead and a 0.5 m NMEA 2000 lead. The transducer installs at the transom, so cable routing should be planned away from steering gear, hot engine surfaces, sharp edges, and high-current wiring where possible.
Electrical and system integration
This display is built for 12 V dc vessel systems and should be protected with the proper 7 A fuse. The NMEA 2000 connection allows it to join a compatible marine data network, while RayNet Ethernet supports expansion with compatible Raymarine equipment. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth add wireless connectivity for supported Raymarine mobile app functions.
For boats that may add radar, instruments, cameras, autopilot, or other compatible sensors later, the Axiom 7 DV gives the helm a central display without requiring a larger screen footprint from the start.
