Description
Overview
The Vimar Idea 16286 SICURY is a 2P+E 16 A, 250 V~ Italian P30 socket outlet with an interlocked 1P+N C16 RCBO (I?n 10 mA) in a 4-module Idea format.
It is intended for 230 V~ 50 Hz AC circuits and combines a point-of-use receptacle with residual-current protection and overcurrent protection in the same assembly. On board, this is typically used on 230 V shore-power or inverter-fed circuits where an Italian P30 outlet is required in the cabin, galley, or nav area. The front is IP20, so it belongs in dry interior locations rather than exposed spray or washdown zones.
Key features
- Italian standard P30 socket (2P+E) with lateral and central earth contacts
- Socket rating: 16 A, 250 V~ for 230 V~ 50 Hz onboard AC systems
- Interlocked 1P+N C16 RCBO with 10 mA residual-current protection and 3000 A breaking capacity
- 4-module format for Vimar Idea flush-mount installations
- Snap mounting (engagement) fastening with screw terminal connections
- Enhanced contact protection for safer use in living spaces
- IP20 front rating for interior, dry locations
- Label space/information surface for circuit identification
- Overall size: 74.80 mm (W) x 50.10 mm (H) x 57.40 mm (D)
Variants
This outlet is offered in multiple color configurations.
The electrical format and ratings remain consistent across the range; the color is what changes for matching your plates, frames, and interior finish.
- VM16286.B - Color Ivory. A light finish that pairs well with lighter panels and matching Idea plates.
- VM16286 - Color Gray. A neutral finish that matches gray trim and common Idea frames.
Compatibility and fit
This is a 4-module device for the Vimar Idea modular system. Confirm you have the correct Idea mounting box, support, and cover plate sized for 4 modules, and allow clearance for the 57.40 mm depth behind the panel.
Electrical and system integration
This unit is for AC use on 230 V~ 50 Hz systems. It combines the outlet with an interlocked RCBO, so the circuit supplying it should be wired and protected according to your vessel’s AC distribution plan, with correct earth bonding practices and a properly sized supply conductor for a 16 A branch.
Installation and setup
Flush-mount the mechanism into the appropriate box and secure it using the snap engagement mounting method used by the Idea system, then terminate conductors on the screw terminals. Isolate shore power and inverter output before any work, and verify correct polarity and earth continuity after installation. On boats, AC work should be carried out by a qualified marine electrician following the applicable standards for your region and vessel.
Use on board
This outlet is a good match for European-style yachts and refits that need an Italian P30 receptacle with local protection at the point of use. It fits well in cabins and other interior spaces where an IP20 device is appropriate.
Maintenance and care
Keep the front dry and clean with a soft cloth, and periodically check for heat discoloration or loose terminations during routine electrical inspections. Test protective devices as part of your vessel’s regular safety checks and address any nuisance trips or wiring issues before continued use.

Product warranty
Product warranty
Many products sold by Apollo Lighting include a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty terms vary by brand, product category, and model, so eligibility, coverage duration, exclusions, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer. We recommend reviewing the warranty information provided with your product before installation or use, especially for marine electronics, navigation equipment, lighting, electrical systems, pumps, safety equipment, and other specialized marine products.
If you need warranty service, the claim must follow the process established by the manufacturer, authorized service center, or designated warranty provider. You may be asked for proof of purchase, a serial number, product registration, photos, maintenance or installation records, or other documentation. Apollo Lighting does not determine or modify a manufacturer's warranty coverage or final claim decision, but we are happy to help provide purchase information and direct you to the appropriate manufacturer or warranty resource.
Keep your receipt, product documentation, serial number information, and original packaging when practical. Damage caused by normal wear, misuse, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, corrosion, impact, unauthorized modifications, electrical issues, or operation outside the manufacturer's specifications may not be covered. Warranty claims are separate from standard returns, so a product that has been installed, used, or exposed to marine conditions may no longer qualify for return while still remaining eligible for evaluation under the manufacturer's applicable warranty.
