Description

Overview

The Garmin 010-10930-00 is a second mounting station for GPSMAP 500 Series chartplotters, adding another fixed location on board for a compatible display. It is commonly used when you want the same model installed at a second station, such as a flybridge and lower helm, or a helm and nav table.

A wiring harness is included to power the unit and to support connections to an optional NMEA 0183 network, a CANet device, and a transducer. This helps keep the second station setup consistent with the way the chartplotter is typically integrated on a boat.

Key features
  • Adds an additional mounting station for Garmin GPSMAP 500 Series chartplotters
  • Includes a wiring harness for power and system connections at the second location
  • Supports connection to an optional NMEA 0183 network
  • Supports connection to CANet devices
  • Supports connection to a transducer
Compatibility and fit

This mounting station is intended for the Garmin GPSMAP 500 Series. Confirm your chartplotter family before ordering, since mounts and harnesses are model-specific across generations.

When planning the location, allow space for cable routing and for the harness to be supported behind the mounting surface so the connections are not carrying strain from vibration or repeated access.

Installation and wiring

Install the station where the display is easy to view and operate underway, and where it can be accessed from behind for wiring. On open boats, routing the harness through a protected chase and forming a drip loop before the connection point helps keep water from tracking down the cable.

Power should be tied into your DC system based on the chartplotter’s requirements, with clean wiring runs and secure strain relief so the harness stays stable in chop and engine vibration.

Network connections

If you are tying the second station into existing electronics, the harness supports optional NMEA 0183 connections for compatible instrument and data sharing setups. It also supports CANet connections for compatible devices, and a transducer connection when the installation calls for it.

This setup is a good match for boats that already rely on a GPSMAP 500 Series display and need that same interface available at another operating position without changing the way the system is wired.

After your return is received and inspected, approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 5-7 business days to appear after processing. Original shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable, and the value of any included free items that are not returned may be deducted from the refund. Apollo Lighting does not charge a standard restocking fee on eligible returns. Returns that are incomplete, damaged, installed, used, altered, improperly packaged, or otherwise do not meet the eligibility requirements may be refused. Product warranty

Many products sold by Apollo Lighting include a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty terms vary by brand, product category, and model, so eligibility, coverage duration, exclusions, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer. We recommend reviewing the warranty information provided with your product before installation or use, especially for marine electronics, navigation equipment, lighting, electrical systems, pumps, safety equipment, and other specialized marine products.

If you need warranty service, the claim must follow the process established by the manufacturer, authorized service center, or designated warranty provider. You may be asked for proof of purchase, a serial number, product registration, photos, maintenance or installation records, or other documentation. Apollo Lighting does not determine or modify a manufacturer's warranty coverage or final claim decision, but we are happy to help provide purchase information and direct you to the appropriate manufacturer or warranty resource.

Keep your receipt, product documentation, serial number information, and original packaging when practical. Damage caused by normal wear, misuse, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, corrosion, impact, unauthorized modifications, electrical issues, or operation outside the manufacturer's specifications may not be covered. Warranty claims are separate from standard returns, so a product that has been installed, used, or exposed to marine conditions may no longer qualify for return while still remaining eligible for evaluation under the manufacturer's applicable warranty.
