Description

Overview

The Simrad 000-13262-001 is a pigtail wiring block adapter that lets you terminate a transducer with bare wires and connect it to an xSonic (9-pin) sonar input. It gives you a proper junction point for the transducer leads, so you are not forced into inline splices when the transducer does not come with a plug, or when a cable has been cut or shortened during a refit.

On systems like the S5100 sonar module, this junction box is the intended way to bring bare-wire transducers into the sonar channels. Single-frequency transducers land on one channel, while dual-frequency transducers use two adjacent channels, matching how the sonar module expects high and low elements to be connected.

Key features
  • Connects bare-wire transducer leads to an xSonic (9-pin) sonar connection.
  • Junction-box style wiring block keeps terminations accessible for service and troubleshooting.
  • Useful when a transducer is supplied without a connector, or when an existing cable has been cut during removal or re-routing.
  • For S5100 installations: single-frequency transducers can connect to any channel; dual-frequency transducers connect across Channel-1 and Channel-2, or Channel-2 and Channel-3.
  • Includes a detailed installation description and wiring diagram for landing the conductors correctly.
What’s included
  • xSonic pigtail transducer wiring block adapter (junction box with xSonic 9-pin lead)
  • Installation description and wiring diagram
Compatibility and fit

This adapter is for installations where the sonar input expects an xSonic 9-pin transducer connection and the transducer end is bare wire. Before ordering, confirm your display or sonar module has an xSonic (9-pin) transducer socket and that your transducer is the bare-wire type.

If your transducer already has a blue 7-pin connector, this is not the right part for that interface. A 7-pin-to-9-pin adapter cable is used for 7-pin transducers instead.

Installation and setup

Plan to mount the junction box in a dry, accessible place such as inside the console, an electronics locker, or another protected compartment where it will not sit in bilge water or take direct spray. Leave a service loop, support the cables so the wiring block is not carrying strain, and route the harness with a drip loop so water cannot track into the connections.

Terminate the transducer conductors on the wiring block using the included wiring diagram, then connect the xSonic 9-pin lead to the sonar input. For dual-frequency transducers on multi-channel sonar modules, keep track of which conductors belong to the high and low elements so they land on the correct adjacent channels.

On-board use

This is a good match for boats being re-rigged with an xSonic 9-pin sonar input where the transducer cable cannot be plugged in directly. It is also handy when you want a clean, serviceable termination point rather than burying splices behind panels or under the deck.

Product warranty

Many products sold by Apollo Lighting include a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty terms vary by brand, product category, and model, so eligibility, coverage duration, exclusions, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer. We recommend reviewing the warranty information provided with your product before installation or use, especially for marine electronics, navigation equipment, lighting, electrical systems, pumps, safety equipment, and other specialized marine products.

If you need warranty service, the claim must follow the process established by the manufacturer, authorized service center, or designated warranty provider. You may be asked for proof of purchase, a serial number, product registration, photos, maintenance or installation records, or other documentation. Apollo Lighting does not determine or modify a manufacturer's warranty coverage or final claim decision, but we are happy to help provide purchase information and direct you to the appropriate manufacturer or warranty resource.

Keep your receipt, product documentation, serial number information, and original packaging when practical. Damage caused by normal wear, misuse, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, corrosion, impact, unauthorized modifications, electrical issues, or operation outside the manufacturer's specifications may not be covered. Warranty claims are separate from standard returns, so a product that has been installed, used, or exposed to marine conditions may no longer qualify for return while still remaining eligible for evaluation under the manufacturer's applicable warranty.
