Description

Overview

The Raymarine Cable Extension for CP450C is a CHIRP transducer extension cable range for adding extra cable length between a Raymarine CP450C sonar module installation and the transducer cable run. It is used when the module location, helm layout, bilge route, or transducer exit point leaves the original cable short.

The range includes 3 m and 5 m lengths, giving installers room to route the cable cleanly through consoles, lockers, rigging tubes, and service loops without forcing tight bends or awkward module placement. It is a practical fit for refits and new electronics installations where the CP450C needs to stay in a dry, serviceable location while the transducer cable follows the boat’s existing cable path.

Key features
  • Made for Raymarine CP450C transducer cable extension work, helping keep the sonar module in a more workable mounting location.
  • CHIRP transducer extension cable format for Raymarine sonar installations that need additional cable reach.
  • Available in 3 m and 5 m lengths, covering common helm, console, and equipment-compartment routing needs.
  • Useful for cleaner cable management where the transducer cable must pass around bulkheads, under decks, or through rigging spaces.
  • Helps avoid strained connections by allowing enough slack for a controlled cable route and future service access.
Variants

This product is offered in two cable-length configurations for different installation layouts.

The length changes between variants, while the application remains focused on CP450C transducer cable extension work.

  • A102148: 3 m length. This shorter extension suits installations where the sonar module is close to the transducer cable route but still needs extra reach for clean routing and service slack.
  • A102150: 5 m length. This longer extension gives more room for runs through larger consoles, equipment spaces, or layouts where the CP450C is mounted farther from the transducer cable path.
Installation and setup

Plan the cable route before fastening the CP450C or closing panels. Leave enough slack at the module end for service access, and avoid sharp bends, pinch points, and areas where standing water or moving gear can stress the cable.

On fishing boats and cruisers, this extension is most useful when the sonar module is mounted away from the transducer entry point, such as inside a console, behind an electronics panel, or in a protected equipment locker. It is a straightforward cable solution for owners and installers who need the CP450C installation to fit the boat rather than forcing the module into a poor location.

Compatibility and fit

This extension range is intended for Raymarine CP450C transducer cable installations. Match the variant length to the actual cable path, not just the straight-line distance, since bends, service loops, and panel routing can add more length than expected.

Before installation, confirm that the selected length reaches the planned module location without pulling on the connectors. A clean route with a little service slack is usually easier to maintain and less likely to create connection issues over time.

Product warranty

Many products sold by Apollo Lighting include a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty terms vary by brand, product category, and model, so eligibility, coverage duration, exclusions, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer. We recommend reviewing the warranty information provided with your product before installation or use, especially for marine electronics, navigation equipment, lighting, electrical systems, pumps, safety equipment, and other specialized marine products.

If you need warranty service, the claim must follow the process established by the manufacturer, authorized service center, or designated warranty provider. You may be asked for proof of purchase, a serial number, product registration, photos, maintenance or installation records, or other documentation. Apollo Lighting does not determine or modify a manufacturer's warranty coverage or final claim decision, but we are happy to help provide purchase information and direct you to the appropriate manufacturer or warranty resource.

Keep your receipt, product documentation, serial number information, and original packaging when practical. Damage caused by normal wear, misuse, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, corrosion, impact, unauthorized modifications, electrical issues, or operation outside the manufacturer's specifications may not be covered. Warranty claims are separate from standard returns, so a product that has been installed, used, or exposed to marine conditions may no longer qualify for return while still remaining eligible for evaluation under the manufacturer's applicable warranty.
