Description

Overview

The Lopolight 301-140-RPM-PRO-I-EX is an ice-class LED steering light with a 60° blue light sector and 1 nautical mile visibility rating. It operates on 10-32VDC and is certified for hazardous-area installations in ATEX and IECEx Zones 1 and 2. Built-in de-icing and RPM-based dimming support steering light operation in demanding commercial marine environments.

The fixture features an IP68-rated enclosure with black hard-coat anodized aluminum construction, a PMMA lens, and A4 stainless steel screws. RPM-based dimming requires a Lopolight Navigation Light Controller (NLC). The light mounts horizontally on a 400-037 EX/MIL aluminum base with side-directed cable routing.

Key features
  • Blue LED steering light with a 60° light sector and 1 nautical mile visibility.

  • 10-32VDC operating range with a rated power draw of 3W.

  • ATEX and IECEx Zone 1 and 2 certification for hazardous-area applications.

  • Integrated ice-class defroster for de-icing capability.

  • RPM-controlled dimming through a compatible Lopolight NLC.

  • IP68 protection with black hard-coat anodized aluminum housing and PMMA lens.

  • Horizontal mounting with side cable exit and plug connector.

  • Overall dimensions of 92.5 mm diameter by 103.5 mm height.

Installation and system integration

The light is configured for horizontal installation on a 400-037 EX/MIL aluminum mounting base. Its side cable routing, included HDPE base plate, cable glands, and ground strap support the specified mounting arrangement. The electrical connection uses a plug connector, and the minimum feed wire size is 0.5 mm² (AWG 22).

For installations requiring RPM-based brightness adjustment, integration with a Lopolight NLC is necessary. The fixture supports 12V and 24V nominal marine electrical systems within its 10-32VDC operating range.

Materials and operating conditions

The housing uses black hard-coat anodized aluminum with a 50-micron coating, paired with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel fasteners. The operating temperature range is -25°C to +55°C. Its integrated de-icing function makes this configuration suitable for marine steering light installations where ice accumulation is a concern.

Product warranty

Many products sold by Apollo Lighting include a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty terms vary by brand, product category, and model, so eligibility, coverage duration, exclusions, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer. We recommend reviewing the warranty information provided with your product before installation or use, especially for marine electronics, navigation equipment, lighting, electrical systems, pumps, safety equipment, and other specialized marine products.

If you need warranty service, the claim must follow the process established by the manufacturer, authorized service center, or designated warranty provider. You may be asked for proof of purchase, a serial number, product registration, photos, maintenance or installation records, or other documentation. Apollo Lighting does not determine or modify a manufacturer's warranty coverage or final claim decision, but we are happy to help provide purchase information and direct you to the appropriate manufacturer or warranty resource.

Keep your receipt, product documentation, serial number information, and original packaging when practical. Damage caused by normal wear, misuse, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, corrosion, impact, unauthorized modifications, electrical issues, or operation outside the manufacturer's specifications may not be covered. Warranty claims are separate from standard returns, so a product that has been installed, used, or exposed to marine conditions may no longer qualify for return while still remaining eligible for evaluation under the manufacturer's applicable warranty.
