Description

Overview

The Vimar PLANA is a 2-module blank module used to close an unused opening in a flush-mounted PLANA wiring assembly. It has a 44.70 x 49.00 x 21.50 mm body, built-in mounting with claw fastening, and a nominal voltage of 0 V because it is a cover module rather than an active device.

On a boat already fitted with Vimar PLANA components, it keeps a spare 2-module position covered without changing the rest of the plate layout. The body is made from halogen-free thermoplastic and the visible face has a glossy finish, so it suits tidy interior panel work where an unused position still needs a finished look.

Key features
  • 2-module blank module for Vimar PLANA wiring systems
  • Built-in mounting format with claw fastening
  • 44.70 mm width, 49.00 mm height, and 21.50 mm depth
  • Nominal voltage 0 V, with no monitoring contact
  • Thermoplastic body that is halogen-free
  • Glossy visible surface with label or information area
  • Available in white RAL 9003 and silver RAL 9006
Variants

This product is offered in two finish options within the same 2-module PLANA format.

Across these variants, the size stays at 44.70 x 49.00 x 21.50 mm and the mounting format remains built-in with claw fastening. The visible finish changes between white RAL 9003 and silver RAL 9006, and the silver version uses a lacquered surface while the white version has an untreated surface.

  • VM14042: White finish, RAL 9003, glossy front surface. This version matches white PLANA layouts and keeps an unused position visually unobtrusive.
  • VM14042.SL: Silver finish, RAL 9006, glossy lacquered front surface. This version suits PLANA layouts where the surrounding trim or modules are in silver.
Compatibility and fit

Check that your installation uses the Vimar PLANA series and that the spare opening is a 2-module position. This is a blanking piece, not a live accessory, so it does not add switching, socket, or network function.

It is a sensible part for refits, service replacements, and panel clean-up work on boats that already use PLANA wiring devices in cabins, helm areas, or other protected interior spaces. It also works well when a circuit has been removed for now but the opening still needs to stay covered and finished.

Product warranty

Many products sold by Apollo Lighting include a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty terms vary by brand, product category, and model, so eligibility, coverage duration, exclusions, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer. We recommend reviewing the warranty information provided with your product before installation or use, especially for marine electronics, navigation equipment, lighting, electrical systems, pumps, safety equipment, and other specialized marine products.

If you need warranty service, the claim must follow the process established by the manufacturer, authorized service center, or designated warranty provider. You may be asked for proof of purchase, a serial number, product registration, photos, maintenance or installation records, or other documentation. Apollo Lighting does not determine or modify a manufacturer's warranty coverage or final claim decision, but we are happy to help provide purchase information and direct you to the appropriate manufacturer or warranty resource.

Keep your receipt, product documentation, serial number information, and original packaging when practical. Damage caused by normal wear, misuse, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, corrosion, impact, unauthorized modifications, electrical issues, or operation outside the manufacturer's specifications may not be covered. Warranty claims are separate from standard returns, so a product that has been installed, used, or exposed to marine conditions may no longer qualify for return while still remaining eligible for evaluation under the manufacturer's applicable warranty.
