Description

Advanced Dual-Band Chirp Transducer for Superior Marine Performance

The Airmar R509C-LHW is a powerful thru-hull transducer designed for both deep-water and shallow-water applications. Engineered with a high wide beam and a low-frequency band, this 3kW transducer delivers unparalleled resolution, extensive coverage, and superior fish-target separation. Whether you're fishing inshore or offshore, the R509C-LHW ensures optimal performance with its Chirp-ready technology, making it a top choice for professional and serious recreational anglers.

Exceptional Deep-Water and Shallow-Water Capabilities

The R509C-LHW is equipped with dual-band frequency operation, allowing it to excel in a wide range of marine environments. The low-frequency band (28-60 kHz) penetrates deep waters up to 3,048 meters (10,000 feet), while the high-frequency band (150-250 kHz) provides superior resolution and coverage in depths up to 152 meters (500 feet). Its consistently wide beamwidth of 25° at high frequency ensures enhanced detection of fish in the upper-water column, making it an excellent choice for various fishing applications.

Key Technical Specifications

  • Power Output: 2 to 3 kW for superior performance in deep-water environments
  • Low Frequency: 28-60 kHz with a beamwidth of 23° to 9° (port-starboard) and 11° to 5° (fore-aft)
  • High Frequency: 150-250 kHz with a constant 25° beamwidth
  • Depth Range: Maximum of 3,048 m (10,000') at low frequency, 152 m (500') at high frequency
  • Total Bandwidth: 132 kHz, covering key fishing frequencies of 38, 50, and 200 kHz
  • Cable Length: 15 meters (49 feet) with bare wire connection
  • Deadrise Compatibility: Up to 25° with fairing
  • Acoustic Window Material: Epoxy/urethane
  • Housing Material: Urethane

Wide-Beam Coverage for Increased Detection

Unlike traditional narrow-beam transducers, the Airmar R509C-LHW utilizes a high wide-beam design that provides twice the coverage area. This ensures enhanced target separation and more detailed fish arches, even in the upper-water column. The combination of Chirp technology and broad frequency range enables clear and precise imaging for improved fish-finding efficiency.

Rugged Design for Long-Lasting Marine Use

Built with durable urethane housing and an epoxy/urethane acoustic window, the R509C-LHW is designed to withstand harsh marine conditions. Its robust construction ensures long-lasting performance, making it an excellent investment for serious anglers and marine professionals alike.

Highlights

  • Dual-frequency Chirp technology for maximum underwater clarity
  • High wide-beam design for increased fish detection in the upper column
  • Exceptional deep-water capabilities up to 3,048 meters (10,000 feet)

Product warranty

Many products sold by Apollo Lighting include a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty terms vary by brand, product category, and model, so eligibility, coverage duration, exclusions, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer. We recommend reviewing the warranty information provided with your product before installation or use, especially for marine electronics, navigation equipment, lighting, electrical systems, pumps, safety equipment, and other specialized marine products.

If you need warranty service, the claim must follow the process established by the manufacturer, authorized service center, or designated warranty provider. You may be asked for proof of purchase, a serial number, product registration, photos, maintenance or installation records, or other documentation. Apollo Lighting does not determine or modify a manufacturer's warranty coverage or final claim decision, but we are happy to help provide purchase information and direct you to the appropriate manufacturer or warranty resource.

Keep your receipt, product documentation, serial number information, and original packaging when practical. Damage caused by normal wear, misuse, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, corrosion, impact, unauthorized modifications, electrical issues, or operation outside the manufacturer's specifications may not be covered. Warranty claims are separate from standard returns, so a product that has been installed, used, or exposed to marine conditions may no longer qualify for return while still remaining eligible for evaluation under the manufacturer's applicable warranty.
