Raymarine CPT-S CHIRP Sonar Transducer Transom Bracket & Hardware

SKU: APL987102 Part number: R70496
Regular price $3499

Description

Overview

The Raymarine R70496 is a transom bracket and hardware kit for the Raymarine CPT-S transom mount CHIRP sonar transducer. It is a practical replacement or service part for keeping the CPT-S mounted correctly at the stern, where transducer position has a direct effect on depth readings and sonar performance while the boat is moving.

This kit is meant for the mounting side of the installation, not for replacing the transducer, cable, or display connection. It is useful when the original bracket has been damaged, misplaced during a refit, or needs to be renewed during transducer service on a fiberglass, wood, or metal transom installation using the CPT-S transom model.

Key features
  • Made for Raymarine CPT-S transom mount CHIRP sonar transducers.
  • Includes the transom mounting bracket and hardware needed for the bracket installation.
  • Supports proper transducer placement on the stern so the CPT-S can be tested and adjusted during setup.
  • Useful as a replacement kit when servicing, remounting, or repairing an existing CPT-S transom installation.
  • Accessory kit only, with no transducer, cable, display, or sonar module included.
Installation and setup

For best results, the bracket should be installed where the CPT-S can stay in clean water flow with minimal turbulence from strakes, through-hull fittings, trim tabs, or prop wash. A careful bracket position helps the transducer maintain bottom tracking and sonar returns when the boat is on plane.

The transducer height and angle should be checked with the boat in the water before the installation is finalized. This is especially important on planing hulls, where a small change at the transom can affect readings at speed.

Compatibility and fit

This kit is for Raymarine CPT-S transom mount installations. It should not be treated as a universal transducer bracket for other Raymarine transducers or third-party sonar products unless the existing equipment is specifically the CPT-S transom mount type.

Owners replacing a damaged bracket should confirm the transducer body and cable are still in good condition before installation. When the CPT-S transducer itself is worn, cracked, or giving inconsistent readings, the bracket kit will not correct those electrical or sensing issues.

Use cases on board

This part suits boat owners, installers, and service yards working on smaller fishing boats, runabouts, trailer boats, and coastal cruising boats that use a Raymarine CPT-S transom transducer. It is also helpful during refits where the transducer is being moved to a cleaner location on the transom.

Product warranty

Many products sold by Apollo Lighting include a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty terms vary by brand, product category, and model, so eligibility, coverage duration, exclusions, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer. We recommend reviewing the warranty information provided with your product before installation or use, especially for marine electronics, navigation equipment, lighting, electrical systems, pumps, safety equipment, and other specialized marine products.

If you need warranty service, the claim must follow the process established by the manufacturer, authorized service center, or designated warranty provider. You may be asked for proof of purchase, a serial number, product registration, photos, maintenance or installation records, or other documentation. Apollo Lighting does not determine or modify a manufacturer's warranty coverage or final claim decision, but we are happy to help provide purchase information and direct you to the appropriate manufacturer or warranty resource.

Keep your receipt, product documentation, serial number information, and original packaging when practical. Damage caused by normal wear, misuse, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, corrosion, impact, unauthorized modifications, electrical issues, or operation outside the manufacturer's specifications may not be covered. Warranty claims are separate from standard returns, so a product that has been installed, used, or exposed to marine conditions may no longer qualify for return while still remaining eligible for evaluation under the manufacturer's applicable warranty.
