Overview
The Vimar Eikon 20648 is a 3-module Classic cover plate for British standard installations in the Eikon range. Across the listed versions, it is offered in bright varnished metal, refined metal, solid wood, and glass crystal finishes, with chromed framing on many variants and a golden frame on the gold versions.
On board, this is the visible finishing piece that completes a switch or outlet position and sets the look of the panel. It makes the most sense in cabins, heads, saloons, and other interior spaces where a British standard 3-module Vimar layout is already in place and the finish needs to match nearby trim, hardware, or joinery.
Key features
- 3-module Classic cover plate format for British standard installations
- Part of the Vimar Eikon range for coordinated modular switch and outlet layouts
- Available across multiple surface materials including metal, glass crystal, and solid wood
- Finish options include Arctic White, Antique White, Metallic Silver, Metallic Titanium, Metallic Champagne, Metallic Anthracite, Siena Brown, Satin Nickel, Satin Gold, Polished Gold, White Oak, African Wengue, Silver Mirror, and Black Ice
- Many listed variants use a chromed frame, while the gold versions use a golden frame
- Used with the matching 3-module British standard mounting frame 20608
Variants
This range is offered in multiple configurations, with the main difference being the visible finish and, on some versions, the outer material itself. The listed options cover painted and metallic looks, warm wood tones, and reflective glass, so the plate can be matched to modern interiors, darker joinery, or lighter cabin trim.
Across the range, the shared point is the same Eikon 20648 3-module British standard cover plate format. What changes from one version to another is the exterior appearance, including finishes such as Bright Arctic White, Metallic Silver, Metallic Titanium, Satin Nickel, Satin Gold, Polished Gold, White Oak, African Wengue, Silver Mirror, and Black Ice.
Compatibility and fit
This plate is sized for a 3-module British standard setup, so the key fit check is the mounting format already installed on the boat. It pairs with the Vimar 20608 3-module British standard mounting frame, and that frame sits behind the visible plate.
For refits, the useful check before ordering is the module count, the frame behind the plate, and the finish family used elsewhere in the cabin or control area. That matters more here than electrical rating, because this item is the trim component rather than the mechanism itself.
Use on board
This cover plate range suits boats where switching is part of the interior finish rather than something hidden away. The wood and mirror options work well in accommodation spaces where the switch plate is seen against veneer, lacquered panels, or stone-look surfaces, while the white, silver, titanium, anthracite, and black finishes sit more naturally in modern utility spaces and helm areas with a cleaner technical look.

Returns or cancellations are not considered approved until you receive confirmation from Apollo Lighting. Please do not ship or drop off merchandise before receiving return approval and instructions.
Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping unless the return is due to an error by Apollo Lighting or the item is verified as defective, damaged, or incorrect. Missing, damaged, defective, or incorrect items must be reported within 2 business days of delivery, and photos or other documentation may be required for review. If the issue is verified, Apollo Lighting may provide or reimburse return shipping and issue a replacement or refund depending on the circumstances. After your return is received and inspected, approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 5-7 business days to appear after processing. Original shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable, and the value of any included free items that are not returned may be deducted from the refund. Apollo Lighting does not charge a standard restocking fee on eligible returns. Returns that are incomplete, damaged, installed, used, altered, improperly packaged, or otherwise do not meet the eligibility requirements may be refused. We recommend using a trackable and appropriately insured shipping service for all customer-arranged returns.

Product warranty
Product warranty
Many products sold by Apollo Lighting include a manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty terms vary by brand, product category, and model, so eligibility, coverage duration, exclusions, and available remedies are determined by the applicable manufacturer. We recommend reviewing the warranty information provided with your product before installation or use, especially for marine electronics, navigation equipment, lighting, electrical systems, pumps, safety equipment, and other specialized marine products.
If you need warranty service, the claim must follow the process established by the manufacturer, authorized service center, or designated warranty provider. You may be asked for proof of purchase, a serial number, product registration, photos, maintenance or installation records, or other documentation. Apollo Lighting does not determine or modify a manufacturer's warranty coverage or final claim decision, but we are happy to help provide purchase information and direct you to the appropriate manufacturer or warranty resource.
Keep your receipt, product documentation, serial number information, and original packaging when practical. Damage caused by normal wear, misuse, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, corrosion, impact, unauthorized modifications, electrical issues, or operation outside the manufacturer's specifications may not be covered. Warranty claims are separate from standard returns, so a product that has been installed, used, or exposed to marine conditions may no longer qualify for return while still remaining eligible for evaluation under the manufacturer's applicable warranty.
