Overview
The TACO Marine V21-1025WHC20D is a 20 ft Frosty White rigid vinyl rub rail for replacing or fitting protection along the hull and deck joint. The profile measures 1-1/2 in high by 1-3/8 in wide and is pre-drilled and countersunk for #10 screws on 6 in centers, which helps keep installation spacing consistent along straight runs.
This profile accepts the TACO Marine S11-4511 stainless steel insert, which is sold separately. The Frosty White color and gloss are matched to gel coat surfaces, making this rail a practical fit for many runabouts, bow riders, deck boats, cabin cruisers, sport boats and center consoles where the hull edge needs protection without changing the boat’s original look.
Key features
- 20 ft rigid vinyl rub rail section in Frosty White for hull and deck joint protection.
- 1-1/2 in height and 1-3/8 in width to match the V21-1025 profile.
- Pre-drilled and countersunk for #10 screws on 6 in centers, with screws sold separately.
- Accepts TACO Marine S11-4511 stainless steel insert; insert is required and sold separately.
- Cuts and drills with standard woodworking tools, which helps during trimming and fitting on board.
- Requires heat for radius forming around curves at the bow, transom corners or other shaped sections.
- Made in the USA and covered by a 5-year limited warranty.
Installation and fit
Before removing the old rail, check the existing profile height, width, screw size and hole spacing against this 1-1/2 in by 1-3/8 in profile. Dry fitting is important because rigid vinyl needs heat when following tighter radiuses, and long 20 ft sections are easier to manage with support along the hull.
Use the pre-drilled countersunk holes as the guide for the #10 fasteners, then install the S11-4511 insert after the rail body is secured. Because the stainless insert is separate, plan for it at the same time as the rub rail so the finished assembly has the intended face protection and appearance.
Use on board
This rub rail suits owners restoring or replacing a damaged rail on fiberglass boats where the existing layout uses a rigid vinyl body with a stainless insert. It is useful on boats that see docking contact, trailer loading, rafting up or regular use around pilings, where the hull edge needs a defined wear surface instead of exposed gel coat.
