Overview

The TACO Marine V21-9502 is a rigid vinyl rub rail profile for replacing or upgrading the protective rail along the hull and deck joint on boats. This 2" x 1" profile is supplied in 20 ft lengths and accepts the TACO S11-4650 stainless steel insert, which is sold separately.

This rub rail is drilled and countersunk for fastening, with screw spacing on 6-inch centers. It is made for marine hull contours, cuts and drills with standard woodworking tools, and requires heat when forming around radius sections.

Both variants share the same V21-9502 rigid vinyl profile, 2" x 1" size, 20 ft length, and S11-4650 stainless steel insert compatibility. The color and screw hole specification change between the two versions.

• V21-9502BKA20D: Black. This version has a black finish and is drilled and countersunk for #8 screws on 6-inch centers.
• V21-9502WHC20DV05: Frosty White. This version has a frosty white finish and is drilled and countersunk for #10 screws on 6-inch centers.

Installation and setup

During installation, the rail should be test-fitted before fastening so the installer can confirm the run, end points, and curve behavior on the specific hull. Straight sections can be cut and drilled with standard woodworking tools, while radius areas need controlled heat to form the vinyl without forcing the profile.

The stainless steel insert is required for the completed rub rail assembly and is sold separately. Fastener size should match the selected color variant, since the black version is prepared for #8 screws and the frosty white version is prepared for #10 screws.
