Variants

This impeller is offered in two material configurations. Both variants are Profile F, size 010, 10-blade impellers with the same listed diameter, depth, shaft diameter, drive type, and brass insert.

The material selection is the key difference. Neoprene is commonly used for raw water and general water pumping, while nitrile is used where the pump handles oil, fuel, diesel contamination, or oil change service.

• 9200-0021: Neoprene material. This version suits compatible Jabsco water pumps where a neoprene Profile F impeller is specified.
• 9200-0023: Nitrile material. This version suits compatible Jabsco transfer and oil change pumps where a nitrile Profile F impeller is specified.

Installation and fit

Before fitting the new impeller, compare the old part for profile, blade count, shaft drive, outside diameter, and depth. A match on material alone is not enough, because the impeller must also match the pump cavity and shaft drive.

During installation, check the pump cover, gasket or O-ring area, and cam surface for wear that could shorten impeller life. The vanes should be lubricated with a suitable impeller lubricant before the cover is installed, and the pump should not be run dry.
