Overview

The Lopolight 201-005-B TB is a 2 NM tri-color LED navigation light for horizontal mounting with an IP68 POM base and connector. It runs on 10-32VDC, so it fits standard 12V and 24V onboard systems, and the compact body measures Ø92.5 mm x 36 mm (Ø3.6 in x 1.4 in).

The IP68 base is built for wet mastheads and washdowns, and it includes a cable gland sized for 4-14 mm cable so the entry stays sealed when you route wiring down a mast or through a hardtop. This light is DNV certified and approved to COLREG72, USCG, IEC 60945, and IACS E10 for navigation use.

Installation and setup

This light mounts on a flat horizontal surface. On sailboats it is commonly installed at the masthead, where the tri-color format is used in place of separate sidelights and a stern light when that configuration is allowed for the vessel and operating mode.

Plan the cable run so the pre-attached lead reaches a dry junction point inside the mast, under a deck gland, or inside a radar arch. Power it from a protected DC circuit within the 10-32VDC range, then verify the light’s orientation so the sectors align correctly with the vessel centerline.

Materials and sealing

The housing uses anodized aluminum (25µ) with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel screws for hardware that holds up well in saltwater. Sealing compounds include epoxy and polyurethane, and the IP68 base helps keep spray and standing water out at the mounting point.

Compatibility and fit

This unit is a good match for owners who want a compact tri-color light with a sealed base connection for service access at the mount. It suits boats where space at the masthead or mounting pad is limited, but you still want a clear, standards-compliant navigation signal with modest power draw.

Before ordering, confirm you have a horizontal mounting surface with clearance for the Ø92.5 mm footprint and space to dress the cable through the gland. Also check that your existing wiring plan can meet the minimum 0.5 mm² (AWG 22) feed requirement and that the circuit voltage stays within 10-32VDC.
