Overview

This Lopolight 360-degree stern light with an FB base is a white navigation light rated for 2 nautical miles on vessels under 12 m. It runs on 10-32 VDC for 12V and 24V systems and draws 3 W (300 mA at 12 VDC, 148 mA at 24 VDC).

The FB (flat base) centers the wiring for antenna-style pole mountings and also supports deck mounting from above or from below when you want a lower profile. The light is sealed to IP68 and comes pre-cabled with a 0.75 m shielded marine cable, with a minimum feed wire gauge of 0.5 mm2 (AWG22) for the supply run.

Overall size is Ø92.5 mm x 36 mm, with horizontal mounting. Operating temperature range is -25C to 55C, and approvals include COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, USCG, ABS, M.E.D., DNV, and LR.

This light is offered with two housing color options while keeping the same 2 nm rating, electrical range, and overall form factor.

Across the range, the light color remains white with 360-degree coverage, mounting stays horizontal, the sealing level is IP68, and power is 10-32 VDC at 3 W. The practical difference between variants is the housing finish for how it looks on the boat.

• 201-030-FB-B: Housing color Black. The black anodized housing blends into dark poles, arches, and canvas-heavy setups where you want the light to stay visually low-key.
• 201-030-FB: Housing color Silver. The silver anodized housing matches stainless hardware and aluminum structures and keeps a classic look on deck.

Installation and setup

Plan for a horizontal mounting surface at the stern, radar arch, or on a suitable pole, with a clear view around the horizon. The FB base is set up for centered cable routing, which keeps the wiring protected when it runs down a tube or through a deck pass-through.

For mounting from the top, the base uses three clearance holes (3 x Ø4.4 mm) spaced 120 degrees apart. For mounting from below, the base provides three threaded holes (3 x M4 x 0.7, 6 mm deep). Route and secure the cable to avoid chafe, and seal any deck penetrations appropriately for your mounting location.

Electrical and system integration

Connect to a switched navigation-light circuit on 10-32 VDC. When extending the factory lead, keep splices dry, use marine-grade connectors, and support the cable so vibration does not work the joint loose over time.

Use the published current draw when sizing protection and wiring for the run. On a 12V boat, plan around 300 mA for the fixture itself before considering voltage drop over longer cable lengths.

Compatibility and fit

This unit is a good match for small sailboats and powerboats under 12 m that need a 2 nm all-round white light on a stern pole, aft rail, arch, or a clean deck mount. It is also a practical choice for coastal cruising boats that spend time at anchor and want a light that holds up in spray and sun.

Materials and sealing

The housing is anodized aluminum with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel screws. The enclosure is rated to IP68, which matters when the light lives outside where salt, rain, and routine washdowns are normal.
