Overview

The Lopolight 201-004 Series is a 2 nautical mile combined sidelight for vertical mounting that shows green to starboard and red to port from a single housing. It is built for 10 to 32 VDC systems and comes pre-cabled with a 2.5 m shielded marine-grade lead for straightforward wiring runs.

This light covers the required 112.5° sector for each color and is rated IP68 for wet, exposed mounting locations. The body measures 74.55 x 28 x 73.16 mm, which helps when you are trying to keep the bow area clean and avoid bulky fixtures.

The housing is aluminum with a PMMA lens, and the electronics are potted to handle vibration and water intrusion. It is approved to COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, and USCG (UL1104).

• 201-004: Finish Silver. A silver anodized look that pairs naturally with bare aluminum and stainless hardware.
• 201-004-B: Finish Black. A black anodized look that blends into dark rails, housings, and tinted window lines.
• 201-004-WH: Finish White. A white ceramic-coated finish that matches white gelcoat, decks, and light-colored superstructures.

Installation and setup

As a combined sidelight, this unit is typically mounted on the vessel centerline, facing forward, where it has a clear view out to both sides. Keep the light unobstructed by anchors, pulpits, and bow hardware so the red and green sectors are not shadowed.

The supplied mounting screws fit the vertical base, and the pre-attached cable lets you route wiring through the deck or structure without adding connectors at the light. Seal any deck penetrations appropriately for your construction and exposure.

Electrical and system integration

Designed for 10 to 32 VDC, it can be used on standard 12V and 24V DC systems. The cable includes red (positive) and black (ground) conductors with a shield, which is helpful when running alongside other wiring in the bow.

Use on board

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt and grime from the lens and housing with fresh water as part of normal washdown routines, and avoid abrasive pads that can haze the lens. Periodically check mounting fasteners and cable routing for chafe, especially in high-vibration areas near the bow.
