Overview

The Perko 1127 is an incandescent red and green side light series for vessels from 20 meters to 50 meters in length. These are separate port and starboard navigation lights with a 112-1/2 degree visibility arc and USCG 2nm certification, making them a fit for larger boats that need compliant side lighting rather than small-craft fixtures.

Each light uses a black or white polymer housing, a pre-wired double contact socket, and 3 feet of 16/3-SO cable for connection into the vessel lighting circuit. The access cap is watertight for bulb changes and lens cleaning, which matters on exposed deck, pilothouse, and superstructure mounting locations where spray and salt residue are part of normal use.

The 1127 series supports 12V, 24V, and 120V bulb options, with 30-watt bulbs specified for those voltages and bulbs sold separately. Overall height is 7-1/2 inches, lens height is 4-1/2 inches, and installation uses 1/4 inch fasteners.

Variants

This Perko 1127 range is offered in four configurations. The differences are the housing color and whether the light is the red side light or the green side light.

The housing, cable, socket style, vessel size range, visibility arc, and core mounting dimensions remain consistent across these variants.

• 1127RA0BLK: Black housing with red side light. This configuration is used for the red port-side navigation position where a black fixture finish suits the surrounding hardware or mounting surface.
• 1127GA0BLK: Black housing with green side light. This configuration is used for the green starboard-side navigation position with the same black housing finish.
• 1127RA0WHT: White housing with red side light. This option pairs the red port-side light with a white housing for lighter decks, cabins, or superstructure areas.
• 1127GA0WHT: White housing with green side light. This option pairs the green starboard-side light with a white housing for installations where a lighter finish matches the vessel better.

Installation and setup

This is a hardwired navigation light, so the installer should match the selected bulb voltage to the vessel circuit and keep the light positioned so the side-light arc is not blocked by rails, canvas, antennas, or deck hardware. For compliance with UL Standard 1104, the light uses Perko Cat. No. 0374 bulbs in the correct voltage.

The watertight access cap gives service access for bulb replacement and cleaning, which helps on working boats, cruisers, and larger fishing vessels where lenses can collect salt film. Because the bulb is not included, it should be ordered with the fixture when replacing an old light or planning a new installation.
