Overview

The Lopolight 301-005 Series is a 2 NM white stern navigation light with a 135° sector, built for horizontal mounting with an FB (flat base) POM mounting system and a 6 m cable.

It runs on 10-32 VDC and draws about 1.3 W (110 mA at 12 VDC, 50 mA at 24 VDC). The housing is IP68 rated, the light measures Ø92.5 mm x 36 mm, and installed weight is about 0.70 kg.

This is the aft-facing light used to show a white stern light when underway at night. It is intended for exposed stern locations that see spray, vibration, and regular washdowns, while keeping the mounting footprint low and the cabling tidy at the base.

Variants

This stern light is offered in two finish options, both supplied with the same horizontal FB base and a 6 m cable.

The difference between the variants is the exterior finish of the light housing.

• 301-005-FB 6M: Finish Silver. A silver anodized aluminum housing that fits naturally alongside stainless and aluminum deck hardware.
• 301-005-FB-B 6M: Finish Black. A black anodized aluminum housing that blends with darker paint schemes and hardware aft.

Installation and wiring

Mount the light on a flat stern surface so the lens faces aft and the 135° sector is not blocked by davits, antennas, a tender, or the edge of a swim platform. Keep the unit oriented as marked on the housing so the light pattern stays within the required stern arc.

Power is supplied from 10-32 VDC. Use at least 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22) feed wire, and protect the circuit according to your vessel's navigation-light wiring and marine electrical practice.

Materials and corrosion resistance

The housing is anodized aluminum with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel fasteners. The internal electronics are potted to resist vibration and water ingress, which is useful on the transom where slamming loads and washdowns are common.

Compatibility and fit

This light is rated for 2 NM visibility and is intended for vessels up to 50 m where a 2 NM stern light is required. It suits larger powerboats and sailing yachts that need a clean horizontal mount and a low electrical load, as long as the stern sector remains clear from obstructions.
