The Perko 0965DP0CHR is a horizontal-mount stern light for sail and power-driven vessels under 20 meters (65.6 ft.) in length. It uses a chrome-plated brass top over a black polymer base and carries 2 nautical mile visibility. The housing has a 2-3/8 inch outside-diameter base and a 1-5/8 inch overall height, which helps when space at the stern is limited.
This light comes with a 12V, 10W bulb and draws 0.80 amps. It is meant for fixed installation on a horizontal aft surface rather than a pole mount, so it suits boats that need a permanent stern light in a low housing. For 24V systems, this figure is used for replacement applications with the matching 24V bulb.

Installation and fit
This light is mounted on a horizontal surface at the stern. The installation pattern uses three #4 screw holes and a 1/4 inch hole for the supply leads. The molded arrow in the base is there to help set the bulb position correctly during installation, which matters for the proper stern light sector.
It is a good match for owners replacing an existing low-mounted stern light on a small powerboat or sailboat where the original footprint and mounting style need to stay close to what is already on the boat.
Electrical and service
The supplied bulb is a 12V incandescent lamp, so this light fits straightforwardly into 12V navigation-light circuits that already use this style of fixture. Spare parts are available for the lens, bulb, and base with socket assembly, which is useful when the housing style still fits the boat and only service items need attention.
