Overview
The Perko 0904DP0CHR is a horizontal-mount bi-color bow light for replacement use on sail or power-driven vessels under 12 meters (39.4 ft.) in length. It has a chrome plated brass top, a black polymer base, red and green lenses, and a 1 nautical mile visibility rating.
This is a compact incandescent navigation light for boats that already use this style of bow fixture and need a correct replacement rather than a layout change. It is supplied with a 12V bulb and runs at 10 watts and 0.80 amps in that setup. The same housing can also be used on a nominal 24V system when fitted with the correct 24V bulb.
Key features
- Certified for replacement use only on sail or power-driven vessels under 12 meters (39.4 ft.) in length
- Bi-color bow light with red and green lenses in one horizontal-mount fixture
- Chrome plated brass top with black polymer base
- Gold plated contacts
- 1 nautical mile visibility
- 12V bulb included; nominal 24V use requires the correct 24V bulb
- Mounting pattern uses three #4 screws and a 1/4 inch wiring clearance hole
Installation and fit
This light mounts on a horizontal surface at the bow. Keeping it aligned with the boat centerline matters because the red and green sectors need to face the proper directions. The base includes reference marks that help with final orientation during installation.
It is a good match for refits on small powerboats and sailboats that already carry a Figure 0904 style light and need to replace a worn housing, damaged lens, or tired contacts without changing the deck cutout approach. The low profile also works well where bow space is limited and hardware needs to stay out of the way of anchor handling or foredeck foot traffic.
Electrical and system integration
The fixture is supplied with a 12V bulb, so that is the ready-to-install setup out of the box. On a 24V boat, the bulb needs to be changed before the light is put into service. Wiring should be completed to the applicable boat electrical and navigation-light rules for the vessel.
