Overview
The Vimar 02107 E27 lampholder is a replacement lampholder range for E27 screw-base light fittings, with black or white bodies and two different threaded entry styles depending on the version. Across the family, the holder body is made from glass-reinforced polyester resin and uses a threaded skirt construction.
The M10 versions use an M10x1 nipple with a locking screw, while the S versions use a dome with shaped threaded entry. That difference matters when you are replacing an existing holder in a cabin light, berth light, utility light, or another onboard fitting where the new part needs to match the original hardware and body style.
Key features
- E27 Edison lampholder format for fixtures that use a standard E27 screw-base lamp
- Glass-reinforced polyester resin body
- Threaded skirt construction across the full range
- Available in black and white finishes
- Variant-specific entry styles: M10x1 nipple with locking screw or dome with shaped threaded entry
Variants
This product family is offered in four configurations.
What changes between variants is the finish and the threaded entry style. The common points across the range are the E27 lampholder format, threaded skirt body, and glass-reinforced polyester resin construction.
- VM02107.S: black finish, threaded skirt, dome with shaped threaded entry. This version matches fittings built around the dome-style threaded entry rather than an M10x1 nipple.
- VM02107.S.B: white finish, threaded skirt, dome with shaped threaded entry. It keeps the same dome-style entry while changing the visible finish to white.
- VM02107: black finish, threaded skirt, M10x1 nipple with locking screw. This version matches fixtures that use the M10x1 threaded nipple arrangement.
- VM02107.B: white finish, threaded skirt, M10x1 nipple with locking screw. It keeps the M10x1 nipple arrangement and changes the visible finish to white.
Compatibility and fit
This range is a good match when the existing light fitting is still serviceable and the holder itself is the part that needs replacement. On a boat, that usually means matching the original holder by lamp base, thread entry style, and visible finish rather than trying to adapt a different body into the fixture.
Before ordering, confirm that your light uses an E27 lamp, check whether the current holder is built around an M10x1 nipple or a dome-style threaded entry, and make sure the skirt style matches the space inside the fitting. For exposed or wet locations, the sealing and corrosion resistance of the complete fixture still depend on the rest of the housing, hardware, and wiring arrangement.
Installation and setup
When replacing a lampholder, it helps to inspect the old unit for heat marks, cracked insulation, or thread damage around the mounting point before reassembly. On marine refit work, it is also worth checking nearby terminals, fasteners, and the inside of the light body for corrosion so the new holder is not installed into a compromised fixture.
