Overview
The Vimar VMV71550 is a yellow dividing screen that splits a compatible flush-mount box into electrically separated compartments, helping you keep different circuits organized inside the same enclosure. The divider measures 60 mm wide by 50 mm high and is made to fit Vimar mounting boxes V71303, V71304, V71305, and V71306.
On boats, this kind of separation is most useful when a single mounting location needs both higher-current wiring and low-current control or signal wiring. It keeps cable paths distinct, makes terminations easier to access, and helps reduce the chance of accidental cross-over when the box is opened for service later.
Key features
- Compatible with Vimar flush-mount boxes V71303, V71304, V71305, and V71306
- Divider size: 60 mm (width) x 50 mm (height)
- Creates electrically separated compartments inside the same box for cleaner circuit layout
- Yellow color that stays easy to spot during installation and troubleshooting
- Plastic divider that separates wiring paths without adding metal parts inside the box
Compatibility and fit
This divider is intended for the internal divider mount in the listed Vimar boxes, where it sits between cable runs and device wiring space. If you are matching to an existing installation, confirm the mounting box model number on the enclosure before ordering.
It is a compartment divider, not a cover or sealing component, so it does not change the enclosure rating of the box. Use proper cable protection, strain relief, and routing practices for the location on board.
Installation and setup
Install the divider into the box before you finalize wire routing and terminations. Run conductors on their respective sides and keep crossings to a minimum so the separation remains meaningful when you service the box later.
After the divider is in place, check that devices and frames still seat fully and that nothing is pinched when the cover plate or mechanism is tightened.
Use on board
This is a practical add-on for helm switch areas, cabin control panels, and service points where you want one flush-mount location to handle multiple circuits while keeping them separated inside the box. It suits both refits and new builds where neat wiring and future access matter as much as getting the device mounted today.
Maintenance and service
There are no moving parts. During electrical work, verify the divider is still seated correctly and re-route any conductors that have migrated across the partition so the compartments remain separated after the box is closed back up.
