Overview
The Lumitec Square Mirage Downlight is a flush-mount, low-profile square LED downlight for overhead lighting on 10-30V DC systems, sealed to IP67 for wet cabins, cockpits, and other exposed areas.
At full output it draws 6W and produces up to 380 lumens in white mode. Plan around a face size of 3.45 inches with bezel styles, or 2.59 inches on the glass-front option, with about 1.1 inches of mounting depth behind the surface.
This is a solid fit for boats that need a clean square look with a sealed fixture for washdowns, plus the option to run simple white light or add color for night running and onboard ambiance depending on the configuration.
Key features
- Runs on 10-30V DC for 12V and 24V boat systems
- 6W draw with up to 380 lumens in white mode
- IP67 sealed for interior or exterior overhead locations (not for permanent underwater mounting)
- Low-profile flush mount with approximately 1.1 inch mounting depth
- Face dimensions: 3.45 inches with bezel styles, 2.59 inches on the glass-front option
- Spring and butterfly clip mounting holds the fixture in the cutout without exposed fasteners
- Polarity-sensitive wiring with standard DC positive and negative leads
- Timed Toggle Protocol (TTP) control supported for mode changes using a regular on/off switch, depending on the selected light output
Variants
This downlight is offered in multiple configurations that change the light output and the visible trim finish.
Light output varies between Spectrum RGBW with dimming, warm white with dimming, white with dimming, and a white plus red and blue option where the white channel is dimmable and the red and blue modes are non-dimming. Finish varies between a glass-front look and bezel finishes in polished or white to match different headliners and hardware styles.
Installation and setup
Mounting is straightforward for typical fiberglass, wood, or composite overhead panels. Cut the opening, connect the DC supply leads, then compress the spring clips and push the light into place until it seats flush.
Allow room behind the panel for the light body and the clip mechanism, and keep wiring supported so it does not chafe in vibration-prone areas such as a hardtop or T-top.
Electrical and control notes
On a 12V system, plan for up to about 430 mA per light at full output; on 24V, up to about 250 mA. Size the fuse or breaker for the total load on the circuit and the wire run length.
Dimming and color behavior depend on the configuration. Dimming versions can be used with compatible DC dimming control, and multi-color versions can change modes through timed on/off toggles so they can be run from a standard switch when a dedicated controller is not part of the system.
Compatibility and fit
The sealed housing supports use in areas that see spray and routine washdowns, making it a practical choice for cockpit overheads, cabin headliners, and covered exterior ceilings. It is not intended for permanent underwater mounting.
Before ordering, confirm the cutout size, available mounting depth, and the finish style you want visible from the cabin or cockpit side, since the face dimensions differ between the glass-front and bezel options.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue from the lens and trim during routine washdowns and wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh abrasives on the visible face so the finish and light surface stay clean and even.
