Overview
The Garmin 010-12239-00 is a flush-mount gasket for the GNX 120 large-format marine instrument.
It sits between the instrument and the mounting surface so the bezel beds down cleanly on a flat panel. This helps close up small gaps around the cutout and reduces the chance of water tracking behind the dashboard.
This is a practical replacement when you are re-installing a GNX 120 after service, moving it to a new panel, or swapping out a gasket that has taken a set from long-term compression.
Key features
- Made for Garmin GNX 120 flush-mount installations
- Helps seal the instrument-to-panel interface around the cutout
- Takes up minor panel irregularities for a cleaner finished edge
- Useful replacement part during re-bedding or relocation
- Physical mounting accessory that does not change wiring or network connections
Installation and setup
Use the GNX 120 flush-mount template for the panel cutout and hole locations. The template layout calls for a 44 mm (1 3/4 in.) center hole for cable routing and 4.5 mm (3/16 in.) mounting holes.
Fit the gasket to the back of the instrument before inserting the unit into the cutout, then tighten the hardware from behind the panel. A thin bead of marine sealant around the gasket is commonly used to keep any spray or washdown from finding a path behind the dashboard.
Compatibility and fit
Compatible with Garmin GNX 120. The instrument footprint is 181 x 115 x 17 mm (7.13 x 4.53 x 0.7 in.), so confirm you have clearance behind the panel for cabling and for tightening hardware.
The mounting surface should be flat so the gasket compresses evenly. If the area is curved or heavily textured, plan on a mounting approach that creates a flat sealing face at the instrument opening.
Maintenance and care
If you remove the instrument, inspect the gasket for tears or permanent flattening. Replacing it during re-bedding helps avoid slow seepage around the cutout later. Clean the mating surfaces before reassembly so the gasket seats evenly.
