Overview
The Raymarine Element trunnion mount kit is a bracket-style mounting kit for Raymarine Element displays, with variants matched to 7", 9", and 12" screen sizes. It gives the display a secure fixed-mount position while still allowing the viewing angle to be adjusted at the helm, console, or electronics pod.
This kit is used when an Element display needs to sit above the mounting surface rather than being flush mounted. That makes it a practical fit for center consoles, flybridges, small pilothouses, and open helm stations where the display needs to be visible from a seated or standing position.
Key features
- Trunnion-style bracket mount for Raymarine Element series displays.
- Available in 7", 9", and 12" capacities to match the display size.
- Allows the display angle to be adjusted for easier viewing at the helm.
- Useful for console, dash, electronics pod, and other fixed helm installations.
- Supports a clean raised installation when flush mounting is not the preferred layout.
Variants
This mount kit is offered in multiple configurations so the bracket matches the physical size of the Raymarine Element display being installed.
The capacity changes by variant. The product type and intended use remain the same across the range: a trunnion mounting kit for Raymarine Element displays.
- R70647: Capacity 7". This version is for installations using a Raymarine Element 7 display.
- R70648: Capacity 9". This version is for installations using a Raymarine Element 9 display.
- R70649: Capacity 12". This version is for installations using a Raymarine Element 12 display.
Installation and setup
A trunnion mount is a good match when the display needs to be secured to a flat mounting surface but still angled toward the operator. Before drilling, check that the selected location gives the display enough clearance to tilt, leaves room for cables at the back of the unit, and keeps the screen easy to reach while underway.
For open boats and saltwater use, the mounting surface should be rigid enough to handle vibration and repeated wave impact. On thin panels or molded consoles, backing material may be needed so the display stays steady over time.
Compatibility and fit
The main fit point is display size. Match the kit capacity to the Element display being mounted: 7", 9", or 12". This prevents using a bracket that is too narrow or too large for the display body.
This is a practical replacement or installation part for boat owners adding an Element display, moving one to a new helm layout, or refreshing a mount that has been removed during electronics upgrades.
