Overview
The Raymarine A80496 is an 11-pin to 8-pin CP370-style transducer adapter cable used to connect a traditional transducer with an 8-pin plug to a Raymarine system that uses an 11-pin transducer connection. The cable length is 0.1 m (3.9 in), so it works as a connector bridge near the display or sonar input rather than as a cable extension.
It fits the kind of installation where the transducer is already in the boat and the connector styles do not match the system side. On compatible Raymarine setups, including the 11-pin 1 kW transducer connection used on Axiom 2 Pro, this adapter lets you keep the transducer and its existing cable run in place instead of changing plugs or replacing the whole transducer.
Key features
- 11-pin to 8-pin CP370-style adapter cable for traditional transducer connections
- 0.1 m (3.9 in) length keeps the connection close to the display or sonar port
- Made to bridge connector formats when the transducer uses an 8-pin plug and the system uses an 11-pin transducer input
- Useful for upgrades where an installed traditional transducer is being reused with a newer Raymarine setup
Compatibility and fit
Check both ends before ordering: the transducer side needs the 8-pin CP370-style connector, and the system side needs an 11-pin transducer port. This adapter is for traditional transducer connections, so the main fit question is the connector format on each end, not the transducer mounting style.
It works well when a transom-mount, thru-hull, or in-hull traditional transducer is already installed and the goal is to keep that sensor in service while updating the display or sonar connection at the helm.
Installation and setup
Because the lead is only 0.1 m long, it is usually installed right behind the display or at the sonar connection point. That helps in tight helm spaces, but it also means this part is not intended to add reach to the cable run or move the connection to a different location.
This is a good match for refit work on fishing boats, cruising boats, and other vessels where the existing traditional transducer is still the right fit for the hull and sonar setup. It keeps the original transducer cable path in place and avoids replacing a sensor that is already mounted and working.
