Enhanced Coverage with Wide Beam CHIRP Technology
Airmar’s R109C-LHW Transducer redefines marine sonar performance by providing expansive underwater coverage with its innovative wide beam CHIRP technology. Unlike traditional high-frequency transducers with narrow beamwidths that vary with frequency, this model maintains a constant 25-degree beamwidth across the entire high-frequency range of 150-250 kHz. This allows anglers and commercial fishers to detect baitfish and game fish with unprecedented clarity in shallow to mid-water depths of 300 to 600 feet. Its advanced sonar capabilities ensure more extensive bottom coverage, making it an essential tool for sportfishing and commercial applications.
Advanced CHIRP Performance
This transducer operates on dual CHIRP bandwidths, covering both low and high frequencies. The low-frequency range of 38 to 75 kHz provides superior depth penetration, while the high-frequency range of 150 to 250 kHz delivers precise target separation and a wider field of view. It also supports popular fishing frequencies, including 50 and 200 kHz, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of echosounders.
Built for Durability and Versatility
Designed for demanding marine environments, the R109C-LHW features a rugged urethane housing with a high-performance fairing, ensuring secure installation and reliable operation in rough waters. It includes a fast-response water-temperature sensor and can be retrofitted to existing R99 installations, adding convenience for boat owners looking to upgrade their sonar capabilities.
