Overview
The Lumishore 010-04524-00 is an ORA Series TIX204 through-hull underwater LED light that mounts flush and outputs white light rated at 5,300 fixture lumens with a focused 60° beam.
It runs on 10.5 to 30 V DC (12V or 24V systems) and uses an internal driver, so it can be switched with a standard on/off switch. Outside the hull, the light face measures 65 mm (2.56 in) across and the housing stands 9 mm (0.36 in) proud for a clean install that stays out of the way.
The housing carries an IP68 water-ingress rating and uses a marine bronze body with a borosilicate glass lens for long-term underwater use.
Key features
- White output rated at 5,300 fixture lumens with a 60° beam angle
- 10.5 to 30 V DC input range for 12V and 24V systems
- Max current draw: 4.0 A at 12V and 1.9 A at 24V
- IP68 water-ingress rating for underwater mounting
- Marine bronze body with a borosilicate glass lens
- 65 mm (2.56 in) light face and 9 mm (0.36 in) housing profile outside the hull
- 2 m (6 ft 6 in) cable length for routing to a dry connection point
- 28 mm (1-1/8 in) shaft hole cut-out requirement and 167 mm (6.57 in) shaft length
- Built-in protection features including reverse polarity, in-rush current protection, and surge protection rated to 3,000 V
- 3-year warranty and typical LED life rated at 50,000+ hours
Installation and setup
This is a true through-hull installation, so placement should allow inside access for tightening the retaining hardware, sealing properly, and routing the cable. Plan the cut-out at 28 mm (1-1/8 in) for the shaft, and verify you have clearance inside the hull for the 167 mm (6.57 in) shaft length and wiring bend radius.
Bonding is required and a bonding connection is provided on the light. For metal hull installations, hull isolation sleeves are available to help separate the bronze housing from the hull structure.
Electrical and switching
Wire the light to a DC supply within the 10.5 to 30 V range and switch it with a simple on/off circuit. When sizing wiring and circuit protection, allow for up to 4.0 A draw on a 12V system or 1.9 A on a 24V system, plus normal voltage drop over the run.
Integrated protections include reverse polarity protection, soft start electronics protection, automatic thermal roll-back, low-voltage roll-back control with low-voltage cut out, and power line noise suppression.
On-board use
The 60° beam keeps light concentrated close to the hull, which works well for transom lighting at anchor, improving visibility around the swim platform, and adding underwater illumination for night docking. It is a good match for boats that want a single-color white underwater light on a 12V or 24V system without adding an external driver.
Maintenance and care
During haul-outs, check the sealing surfaces and bonding connection, and clean the glass lens so output stays consistent. If the boat sits in growth-heavy water, routine cleaning around the light face helps prevent buildup that can reduce light output.
