Installation and fit

Before installation, check the existing toilet model and the voltage marked on the old motor or electrical system. A 12V motor should not be substituted into a 24V system, and a 24V motor should not be used on a 12V system. This is especially important on boats with mixed-voltage equipment or older sanitation wiring that may have been modified over time.

Access is usually around the toilet base and pump/motor area, so allow room to work around hoses, clamps, wiring, and the motor cover. Close the seacocks, isolate power, and relieve any water in the toilet plumbing before removing the failed motor.
