Overview
The JL Audio Connection Cable for MediaMaster Source Units is a remote interconnect cable that links a JL Audio MediaMaster source unit to wired remote controllers that are not on an NMEA 2000 network.
It is offered in 6 ft (1.83 m) and 25 ft (7.6 m) lengths to match short helm installs and longer runs to a second control station. This is a dedicated remote connection cable, not an NMEA 2000 backbone or drop cable.
Key features
- Connects JL Audio MediaMaster source units to non-NMEA 2000 wired remote controllers.
- Two length options: 6 ft (1.83 m) or 25 ft (7.6 m).
- Helps keep the source unit mounted out of the way while maintaining a wired control point at the helm or another station.
- Intended for MediaMaster installations using non-NMEA 2000 remotes.
Variants
This product is offered in multiple lengths.
Cable length is what changes between variants.
- 010-13430-00: Length 6 ft (1.83 m). A practical length when the remote and the source unit are mounted on the same console.
- 010-13429-00: Length 25 ft (7.6 m). Suits longer runs to a second station such as a flybridge, cockpit, or transom control location.
What's included
- Remote interconnect cable (length per selected variant)
Installation and routing
Measure the cable path on the boat rather than the straight-line distance, and account for routing through rigging tubes, chases, and bulkhead pass-throughs. Leaving a small service loop at each end makes future service easier and reduces strain at the connections.
Secure the run so it cannot rub or vibrate against fiberglass edges, and keep it separated from high-current wiring when possible.
Compatibility and fit
This cable is used when a JL Audio MediaMaster source unit is paired with wired remote controllers that connect through the non-NMEA 2000 remote interface. It is a good match for boats adding a second control location while keeping the main source unit mounted behind the dash or inside a dry compartment.
Remotes that communicate over NMEA 2000 use standard NMEA 2000 cabling instead of this interconnect cable.
