Overview
The Raymarine A25062 is a SeaTalkng backbone cable kit for building the main data and power backbone of a Raymarine instrument network on board. It gives installers the core pieces needed to run a basic multi-point SeaTalkng network through the boat, with one 20 m backbone cable, two 5 m backbone cables, four T-piece connectors, two terminators, and a network power cable.
This kit is a practical starting point when adding or refitting Raymarine ST70 instruments, transducer pods, sensors, and other SeaTalkng-compatible devices. The backbone cables carry network data and power along the vessel, while the T-piece connectors create spur connection points for individual devices. The included power cable connects the SeaTalkng backbone to a 12V switched power supply.
Key features
- Builds the main SeaTalkng network backbone for Raymarine navigation and instrument systems.
- Includes a 20 m backbone cable and two 5 m backbone cables for routing through longer sections of the vessel.
- Four T-piece connectors add spur connection points for compatible displays, sensors, instruments, or network power.
- Two terminators are included to complete the backbone at each end of the network.
- Network power cable is included for energizing the SeaTalkng backbone from a 12V switched supply.
- Useful for clean installations where multiple network drops are needed across a cockpit, helm, cabin, or instrument area.
Installation and setup
The backbone cables run through the vessel and plug into the blue backbone connections on T-piece connectors and other SeaTalkng network hardware. Each T-piece provides a white spur connection point for an individual SeaTalkng device or power connection. Terminators are fitted at the ends of the backbone so the network is properly closed.
For a tidy installation, route the backbone where it can be supported and protected from sharp edges, bilge water, heat sources, and moving gear. Plan the T-piece locations before pulling cable so each display, sensor, or instrument can be reached with an appropriate SeaTalkng spur cable.
Compatibility and fit
This kit is for SeaTalkng network installations and is commonly used around Raymarine ST70 displays and related SeaTalkng equipment. ST70 displays, transducer pods, transducers, and network spur cables are not included, so those items should be matched separately to the vessel layout and the equipment being connected.
It suits boat owners and installers who need more than a small starter network and want a longer backbone run with several connection points. It is a good match for helm upgrades, instrument refits, and network expansion where data and power need to be distributed to multiple Raymarine devices.
