Overview
The Raymarine E70373-00-NAG is a 16-inch multifunction display for skippers who want charting, sonar, and system control on one large helm screen. It combines a 15.6-inch IPS display with optical bonding, 1920 x 1080 resolution, HybridTouch control, built-in RealVision 3D sonar, and a built-in 1 kW CHIRP sounder. This version includes Navionics+ North America chart coverage and is sold without a transducer.
For open helms and hardtop stations, the screen is rated at 1200 nits and the housing is IPX6 and IPX7. It runs on 8 to 32 V DC, so it fits both 12 V and 24 V boats, and the front footprint is about 452 x 258 mm before you account for cable clearance behind the dash.
Key features
- 15.6-inch IPS display with optical bonding, 1920 x 1080 resolution, and 1200-nit brightness
- HybridTouch control with touchscreen and keypad input, which helps when the boat is moving fast or the screen is wet
- Built-in RealVision 3D sonar and built-in 1 kW CHIRP sounder, with no transducer included in this package
- 8 to 32 V DC operating range for 12 V and 24 V electrical systems
- 2 RayNet Ethernet ports, NMEA 2000, and 2 NMEA 0183 connections for integration with radar, autopilot, AIS, and other onboard electronics
- 2 front MicroSDXC card slots, 16 GB internal storage, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth for charts, updates, and wireless links
- IPX6 and IPX7 waterproof rating for exposed helms and regular washdowns
Compatibility and fit
This package does not include a transducer, which matters if you are building a new sonar setup from scratch. The RVX platform has a 25-pin RealVision connection for RealVision 3D transducers and an 11-pin connection for compatible 1 kW CHIRP transducers. If you are reusing a CPT-S style transducer, an A80490 adaptor cable is required.
On the network side, it supports RayNet Ethernet, NMEA 2000, and NMEA 0183, so it can sit at the center of a helm that also carries radar, AIS, autopilot, engine data, and other instruments. Two front MicroSDXC slots make chart updates and data handling easier when the unit is flush mounted.
Installation and setup
The display can be surface or flush mounted. For a flush helm, plan around the 452 x 258 mm face size and about 240 mm of rear depth with cables connected. It draws about 42.36 W on 12 V systems and 40.8 W on 24 V systems, and the power feed should be protected with a 15 A fuse.
The bonded screen and waterproof housing make it a sensible match for boats that see spray, sun, and frequent washdowns. It suits larger center consoles, pilothouse boats, sportfish setups, and cruising boats that want one main display for charting, sonar, and network data instead of splitting that work across smaller screens.
