Overview
The Garmin 010-12390-22 is a 15-foot HDMI cable that supports high-speed connections between a compatible Garmin marine product and an HDMI display.
It supports 4K video and audio playback, which is helpful when you want a clean, readable picture for chart viewing, camera feeds, or onboard entertainment. The connection is water-resistant and built to stay secure in typical marine installs where humidity, spray, and vibration are normal.
Key features
- 15-foot length for practical routing from helm electronics to a TV or monitor
- High-speed HDMI connection that supports 4K video and audio playback
- Water-resistant connection suited to boats where moisture is common
- Secure connection that helps reduce dropouts from movement and vibration
- Connects a compatible Garmin marine product directly to an HDMI device with one cable run
Compatibility and fit
This cable is intended for Garmin marine products that support HDMI and for displays with an HDMI input. HDMI features can vary by device, so confirm your equipment supports the A/V function you plan to use and that the ports match before you start routing the cable.
Installation and setup
Map the cable route before pulling it through the boat. Use the full 15-foot length to avoid tight bends behind the dash, and leave a small service loop at each end so the connectors are not under tension. Support the run where you can, keep it clear of sharp edges, and avoid areas where water tends to sit.
Use on board
This cable makes sense when you want a larger viewing screen at the helm or an extra display in the cabin. It also fits fishing setups that use a second monitor for viewing compatible video feeds or repeating the main display to another location.
Maintenance and care
If you ever disconnect the cable, keep the ends clean and dry during handling. On boats where the cable passes through lockers or rigging tubes, check occasionally for chafe and make sure the run is still supported so vibration does not work on the connectors.
