Overview
The Perko 0528 is a cast bronze unmarked pipe deck fill for boats that need a clean deck fill fitting without a fuel, diesel, water, or waste label on the cap. It is used where the pipe size and deck opening need to match the vessel’s existing plumbing layout, with options covering 1 inch through 3 inch pipe sizes and flange outside diameters from 2-7/8 inches to 5-3/8 inches.
The range is available in plain bronze or chrome plated bronze, so it can suit either a traditional hardware layout or a brighter deck finish. The 1-1/4 inch and 1-1/2 inch caps have a slot between the holes, and the larger 2-1/2 inch and 3 inch deck plates use #10 screws while the other sizes use #8 screws.
Key features
- Cast bronze construction for use in marine deck hardware applications.
- Unmarked cap keeps the deck fill visually neutral when a labeled cap is not required.
- Plain bronze and chrome plated bronze finishes are available across the size range.
- Pipe size options cover 1 inch, 1-1/4 inches, 1-1/2 inches, 2 inches, 2-1/2 inches, and 3 inches.
- Flange outside diameters range from 2-7/8 inches to 5-3/8 inches to match different deck layouts.
- Deck plate key and O-ring are included for normal cap access and sealing.
- Sizes 9, 10, and 11 use four mounting holes for secure deck installation.
Variants
This product family varies by finish, pipe size, and flange outside diameter. The chrome plated bronze versions give the deck fill a bright hardware finish, while the plain bronze versions suit installations where exposed bronze is preferred or where the fitting will weather naturally over time.
The available pipe sizes run from 1 inch to 3 inches, with the flange diameter increasing as the pipe size increases. Match the selected version to the vessel’s pipe size first, then confirm that the flange outside diameter and mounting area fit the deck location.
Installation and fit
Before installation, check the pipe size, deck cutout, available flange space, and screw pattern against the existing deck layout. The flange should sit flat on the deck surface, with enough clear area around it for the fasteners and for the deck plate key to operate the cap without interference from rails, cleats, hatches, or nearby hardware.
Use marine bedding or sealant appropriate for the deck material and service area, and fasten the deck plate with the correct screw size for the selected version. The O-ring should be kept clean and seated correctly so the cap can seal as intended after routine opening and closing.
Use cases on board
This unmarked deck fill is a good fit for refits, replacement work, and custom installations where the boat owner wants a pipe deck fill without a molded or embossed service label. It works well in deck areas where the fill function is already known from the vessel layout or where a separate labeling system is used.
