Overview
The Garmin Forerunner 10/15 watch band is a replacement strap made to fit Garmin Forerunner 10 and Forerunner 15 watches. These bands come in Small and Large, and the Large size corresponds to versions with a slightly larger watch face and a wider wristband. This is the band only, sold as a replacement so you can refresh a worn strap without replacing the watch.
On a boat, a fresh strap matters when you are moving around wet decks, grabbing dock lines, or wearing the watch through long days outside. A snug fit keeps the watch seated on your wrist so it does not twist around when it gets splashed or when you pull on gloves.
Key features
- Compatible with Garmin Forerunner 10 and Forerunner 15 watches
- Two size options: Small and Large (Large matches the wider-band, larger-face versions)
- Color options across the range include black, purple, green, teal, violet, and red
- Replaces the original strap using the watch’s standard attachment points
- Practical for wet hands and salt spray: rinse and dry after use to keep the attachment points clean
Variants
This band is offered in multiple color and size combinations. The range includes Small bands in black, purple, green, teal, and violet, plus a Large band option in red.
Small versus Large is tied to the watch face and band width, not just wrist size. If your Forerunner has the wider strap and slightly larger face, the Large band matches that housing.
Compatibility and fit
Fit is specific to Forerunner 10 and Forerunner 15 models. If you are replacing an existing band, matching the size to what is currently on the watch is the quickest way to avoid ordering the wrong width.
Installation and on-board use
Band replacement is a straightforward swap: remove the existing strap hardware from the watch body, then secure the new band in the same locations. Before heading offshore, give the band a quick tug check at both attachment points to confirm everything is seated and tight.
This is a good match for boaters who still rely on a Forerunner 10/15 for workouts and timekeeping and want a clean replacement when the original strap is cracked, stretched, or no longer holds securely.
Maintenance and care
After saltwater exposure, rinse the band and the watch lugs with fresh water and dry them fully. If you notice grit or corrosion around the attachment points, clean it out before it works into the pins and makes the next band swap harder.
